Holy Grail Products

Hey guys! I’ve spoken about holy grail products throughout posts on my blog, however they’re all strewn about so I thought I’d do a post highlighting my absolute holy grail products.

Just to say, these products are the BEST. This category is pretty exclusive (ooooh) so these products, I believe, are so bloody incredible. They have never faltered to work flawlessly with my skin, all year around.

L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation

This is my number 1 foundation; its heavy duty yet doesn’t feel that way on your skin. It covers acne and doesn’t cake around pimples. All foundations are different on every person however I find this one is perfect for me. It has a range of colours and if you go into your local Priceline, they will be able to colour match you. It’s very liquidy, which makes it easy to blend and it is very buildable.

Neutrogena Hydro Burst Moisturizer

The best moisturizer on the planet! This is so smooth and lightweight yet moisturizes so well! I hate when moisturizers feel on my skin for minutes after I’ve rubbed it in, this one doesn’t! It seeps in seamlessly.

Elf Eyebrow Kit

This is the best eyebrow kit I have ever found-and it’s only $3! The wax is smooth and creamy and so easy to blend in. The powder is also nice however, I find myself only ever using the wax. This kit comes in three colours, this one is the medium option but I do have the darker shade as a spare.

Maybelline ‘The Falsies’ Mascara

This mascara is perfect at flaring the corner of my lashes. This mascara creates a naturally flared look, perfect for an everyday transition into night time. I have been through 3 of these tubes.

L’Oreal Brow Plumper

Everything about this is amazing. The small tip is the perfect size, and I love how it has a lengthy wand. This comes in three colours; blonde, brown and clear. This is the brown however; I would love to try the clear one.

Face of Australia Liquid Liner

This is so easy to use and makes the most opaque line. It stays on all day and all night and never needs retouching. For under $10, this is the best in the market.

Mac ‘Painterly’ Paint Pot

Eyeshadow does not do justice without this underneath. It covers all veins on my eyelid, and makes eyeshadow vivid and vibrant. I would suggest this to everyone, however depending on your skin tone you may have to change the shade.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in ‘Translucent’

The most amazing setting powder ever! Everyone needs this, especially under eyes. It comes in three colours, yet I’ve only tried this one shade. The other two I believe are yellow and pink based, for a little more coverage rather than just as a setting.

Maybelline Lash Sensational

This is my favourite mascara ever! It creates lashes that look almost like fake lashes, which I love. I want huge lashes and this one makes them. It is a little more difficult to remove, however if you use the Garnier remover (one with half purple), it works well.

Hope you guys enjoyed this and if you use/have used any of these products, I’d love to hear what you think! Xx

Rimmel London | Brand Faves

I don’t know about you-but when I find a good thing I’ll keep it going. If I believe a brand is god damn good I will most likely buy everything in its range.

Although drugstore prices in Australia can be up there, they do have quite a lot of sales and whenever they do, you’ll bet that I’ll be there picking out everything I don’t already have.

Rimmel London is a brand that I have found to have amazing quality at affordable prices. Today I thought I’d discuss my faves of my Rimmel London collection. Enjoy!

Lipsticks. Rimmel lipsticks are of incredible quality and such a wide range! The Kate Moss lipsticks in particular are amazing and if you have yet to pick any up, I’d suggest you drop whatever you’re doing right now and buy some. I think I will do swatches of all my Rimmel lipsticks soon so I’ll just tell you my favourites. Unfortunately, Rimmel lipsticks just have numbers so there are no creative names, but nevermind when they’re this good!

Faves: Kate Moss 107, Kate Moss 19, all the Apocalips Lip Velvets.

Primers. I have two Rimmel primers, and have found that one works well throughout the whole year and the other specifically in summer. The Fix and Perfect primer is amazing no matter the season however, I believe it has been deleted: nooooo! The Stay Matte primer is fantastic for your T-Zone during those oily months.

Face Products. The Rimmel Match Perfection foundation is incredible. It isn’t of extremely high coverage, yet it is full enough to cover imperfections well giving a natural look. At the moment I’ve been having trouble finding my perfect foundation shade, yet this save me as it kind of soaks into your skin to been the perfect shade. Both concealers are incredible, Match Perfection for acne and Wake Me Up for undereye brightening.

Powders. Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder is a cult product. Everyone has it and everyone loves it. I use this every day and I don’t have a bad thing to say about it. This Rimmel blush I love also, it gives the perfect naturally rosy cheek blush and has enough product to last you ages!

Eye products. Both mascaras are fantastic for different things, the Scandaleyes one for big clumpy lashes and the Wonderfull for natural flared lashes. The Wonderfull one has argan oil and is great for rejuvenating your eyes when you need to give them a break but have to wear mascara somewhere.

Although I haven’t used the coloured kajal liners very much, they are smooth and creamy and sit well on the eye. The Scandaleyes cream shadow stick is the same formula although doesn’t have a bright pigmentation, but is fantastic for a swipe of colour!

The Scandaleyes pen liner was the first liner I ever used that I was successful in achieving a cat flick. I believe it is similar to the Benefit They’re Real liner. It stays in place all day and doesn’t budge.

The Rimmel eyebrow pencil is smooth and is the best pencil I’ve ever tried. It’s one you definitely need to have! I just wish there were a wider range of colours.

Well there you have it! My Rimmel London faves, hope you enjoyed xxx

May Favourites

Hello all!

It always feels like I go to sit down and write a post and I’m again writing my favourites! It’s so easy to write these posts as I just talk about what I have been loving!

Anyway, onto the goods:

Makeup:

Too Faced Original Chocolate Bar Palette

This was an enabled purchase for me as my sister was at Mecca and texted me saying, ‘do you want choc palette?’ and I said yes. For $65 I think this is a semi-luxury palette but everyone needs it! Firstly, this smells AMAZING and the pigmentation is so good! This palette can create both a natural or creative look.

Nars Laguna Bronzing Powder

Ugh this is the most adorable packaging. I love clean, cut things so this packaging is amazing in my eyes. It looks a bit orangey, but it doesn’t blend out that way. It is extremely blendable and can be used as a light contour. For $ 49 this is an expensive bronzer, however, if you love makeup like me, it’s worth it.

LA Girl Pro Concealer

This is the first concealer I have found that can cover these dreaded dark under eye circles I’ve been getting recently. I think the reason why is because it has a pink undertone. For $3, you can’t go wrong!

Rimmel Blush in Coral

This is an everyday colour that has a smooth payoff. It’s a coral shade that I believe would look good on every skin tone. It is great for adding a bit more warmth to my cheeks.

ELF Highlighter in Gotta Glow

I want to compare this to Nars Albatross as I think they might be the same. It’s perfect for the cheekbones and not at all chalky. I am amazed at how much definition this can give your face.

MAC Painterly Paint Pot

This is holy grail for me! I cannot put eyeshadow on without it first. It covers up all my veins and makes all eyeshadows pop. I would recommend this to everyone who wears eyeshadow as it just makes everything better.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

My lips have been terribly dry and chapped recently and this saved them! It isn’t tacky or liquidy which I love. It is a life saver!

Chichi Viva La Diva Lipstick in O.M.Nude

The perfect nude colour for light skinned girls! It has pink undertones but is mostly brown. The formulation is amazing (on par with MAC), and I need to collect more of these!

Music:

Kendrick Lamar

I love his new (ish) song King Kunta, which tells a historic story through song. It is incredibly catchy and if you have yet to hear it, do now!

Bad Blood Music Video Taylor Swift

PLEASE TAYLOR LET ME BE APART OF YOUR SQUAD IT WOULD MAKE MY LIFE THAT’S ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

Those are all my favourites for this past month, what are yours?

Current Top Five Lipsticks (May 2015)

Hello guys!

It has been too long! I’m so sorry and wish I had more time because I really do love blogging, but I’ve been stressed recently due to uni work and money and have just wanted to sit around doing nothing all day. Yep.

Anyway, I’m back in the ball game! Let’s talk lipsticks! Everyone loves them-especially me- and although I don’t wear it every day (although I have enough to last me 200 years), I love them too! So what are my current top five lipsticks?

Mac Diva

This was my first Mac lipstick and since then, I have bought 3 more! This is a matte formulation so it stays on throughout dinner (I had chicken and avocado with salad and at least 3 drinks), although you made need to touch it up. It’s a beautiful blue-red shade that I think will suit every skintone.

Chi Chi Viva La Diva in O.M.Nude

I have wanted this shade ever since Shannon Harris did her lip swatch video. It is a gorgeous nude with pink undertones which is fantastic on lighter skin as true nudes tend to make most of us look like concealer lips (helloooo 2006 Kris Jenner)

Maybelline Colour Drama in Nude Perfection

This is supposedly a dupe for Mac’s Velvet Teddy, but I can’t say if it is. I can say it is the perfect everyday nude that is great for both lining, and applying! It’s a really smooth consistency and I hope they release more nude shades with this line.

ELF Matte Lip Colour in Tea Rose

This shade has purple undertones in it, so it can really add oomph to a look! I love the smell of these and they taste amazing-I can’t describe it but for $2 you may as well try them yourself!

Rimmel Apocalips Matte Lip Cream in Atomic Rose

This looks like a pink shade but it is so much more coral! They really didn’t get the tube correct but with this formulation you won’t care! It dries matte and still feels creamy! It doesn’t flake off which is a major plus. They need to release more shades, as there’s only four.

Well, those are my top five lipsticks at the moment! I hope you liked this post and if you haven’t checked these out; please do!

April Favourites

Hey guys its favourite’s time! I actually kind of struggled to think of what I was using a lot this month and what I have been loving a lot. Despite this, I did eventually find enough products that I love.

Onto the goods!

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer

This concealer’s formulation is semi-thick but is light in colouration which is fantastic for under my eyes. This concealer is a lot different than the foundation, as it has peachy undertones unlike orange like the foundation.

NYX Full Coverage Cream Concealer

This is the perfect concealer for pimples, it’s the perfect match for my skin and covers redness well.

Soap and Glory Solar Powder

This bronzer is THE BEST! I bought it from eBay as it isn’t available in Australia. This has two shade tones and mixed together this is the perfect bronzer to warm up the face.

Face of Australia Liquid Liner

This is the perfect liner if you want to learn how to use liquid liner formulations. It’s wet but dries quick, yet slow enough to have the ability to draw it correctly.

L’Oreal Brow Artist

Alert: fave products of the month! Everyone needs this product, I just hope they come out with more shades, THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE WITH EYEBROWS THAT ARENT JUST BLONDE OR BROWN!

Australis Lip Liner in Nude

I have been wearing this under most of lipsticks recently and it helps my lips to stay all day. It’s a perfect everyday shade.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I love this scrub and when I don’t use it, my lips become so gross. When I run out I will try to make my own and see how it compares.

Rimmel Apocalips Velvet Shades

The formulations of these are amazing! They dry to matte but are still creamy. I adore these and really want to pick up the orange shade, but not sure if I’d wear it. I’d recommend getting some of these!

Well, those are my April Favourites! Hope you liked an d that you get some of these incredible products!

Next time xx

Everyday School Makeup Rountine

Hello everybody! As I still go to school (only a couple of weeks left), and my school does not condone obvious makeup, I thought I would show you my everyday school makeup routine.

This is a natural makeup look, which may seem boring but I quite like it as no one notices I’m wearing makeup (which excuses me from judgey girls), and I can still feel comfortable.

Base:

The base is always extremely important to me, I love concealers and I think when a base is flawless (but not actually flawless as that is impossible), everything else falls into place.

I begin with a primer, which helps my makeup last the entire day. I have recently really been enjoying my Rimmel Fix & Perfect primer. I love how this sits on my face.

Next I do my foundation. Depending on what type of skin day I’m having, recently I have been using either use the Revlon Colourstay Foundation or The Body Shop’s Tea Tree BB Cream. I adore both of these.

Now my favourite, concealer! I have quite a big collection (maybe a future post?) but my favourite at the moment, especially for undereye circles is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind, the only problem with this is that it has a sponge applicator at the end. I usually just squeeze out the product as I don’t like the sponge.

For blush, I like a natural pinkish shade, this Australis blush in Rosy Cheeks, it’s such a gorgeous shade. For bronzing I use The Body Shop’s Honey Bronzer in 01. This has a pink undertone in it which compliments the blush well. I don't contour for school as I don't feel it's appropriate.

I always powder, and depending if I feel as though I need to be mattified, I will use Rimmel Stay Matte, otherwise if I decide I need extra coverage I will use Covergirl Advanced Radiance in 110.

Eyes:

I would love it if I could wear eyeliner, unfortunately my school doesn’t allow it so I just have to stick with mascara. I use the Rimmel Wonderfull, which feels great on my lashes.

Lips:

A basic chapstick is what I need everyday to keep my lips nice and moisturized throughout the day.

Well, that’s my basic everyday school makeup look. School is nearly finished, which I am very excited about but also kind of nervous.

I hope you have a nice day/night! x
