My Makeup Collection & Storage

Hello everyone!

Finally I have taken the photos that I have been meaning to take for months! This is my makeup collection, I can’t say I’m 100% happy with it, but for now it is okay.

I have this desk, which is from Officeworks. It has one pull-out drawer and a side open cupboard. There is a mirror over the top where I, you know, look at myself.

Desk: Officeworks. Mirror: Kmart. Chair: Big W.

Lipstick Holders: eBay. Palette Holder: The Reject Shop. Brush Holders: Kmart. Small Mirror: Kmart.

I separate my lipsticks by brands, as I find it’s easiest to find a particular lipstick.

I keep these little containers on top of the lipstick holders where I put eyeliners and lip liners.

Containers: Dollar Store (can’t remember which one).

I keep a bowl beside my eyeshadow palettes where I keep odds and ends. These things include; bobby pins, scissors, hairbands, earbuds and floss.

I love keeping my makeup brushes on my desk in these Kmart candle holders.

I have this reversible mirror where I keep my makeup sponges, and beside that, odd products that don’t fit anywhere.

And now, the drawer.

This is where I keep all my makeup, excluding eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks.

The layout for this is as shows:

That’s it! This is my makeup collection and storage, I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my setup.

A Thrift Haul

Whyyy hello there peeps!

Yesterday, Katie from stealthespotlight (one of my absolute fave aussie youtubers), uploaded a video of all her top trifting tricks.

I took this as a sign that I needed to visit the thrift stores. I have been thrift shopping a couple of times and they’ve either been
super successful, or a waste of a trip.

Today, I picked up a bunch of stuff and I thought I’d share it with you all.

I bought this plain black pleated skirt. It can be high waisted which I love and it was only $5, super bargain.

Another black skirt, which surprisingly looks similar to the first one. Also $5, also a bargain.

I bought this high waisted knee length skirt however I think I will hem it 2 inches as it comes a bit lower than my knee.

This camo shirt with faux leather sleeves is super casual for an everyday look if it were paired with jeans.

This shirt is huge and navy. I keep very low-key with my outfits and usually only wear black/white however, navy is always an exception.

This is a nice cream jumper; however it looks a bit yellow in this. It’s so comfy and I’m so excited to wear it.

Ugh I have so many shirts and I was so excited to find these pants. They were in a pile so I’m not sure if they were someone else’s but I think they just forgot to put it back.

This cream shirt has a collar that I love so fking much! A nice iron and this shirt will be good to go!

This is a navy shirt with white lines on the sleeves, and is from GAP. Not sure if it’s authentic but it still had a tag from GAP on there and it said the original price was $44.99, and I got it for $5.

Basic af dress that I think is still cute, nice long necklace and boots.

I know this throwover will be so great in summer as it is the thinnest material and a jacket can really make the difference to an outfit.

Right? Right! I found this shirt in the men’s section and it was $3, I’m as shocked as you.

Have a great day! Xx

Holy Grail Products

Hey guys! I’ve spoken about holy grail products throughout posts on my blog, however they’re all strewn about so I thought I’d do a post highlighting my absolute holy grail products.

Just to say, these products are the BEST. This category is pretty exclusive (ooooh) so these products, I believe, are so bloody incredible. They have never faltered to work flawlessly with my skin, all year around.

L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation

This is my number 1 foundation; its heavy duty yet doesn’t feel that way on your skin. It covers acne and doesn’t cake around pimples. All foundations are different on every person however I find this one is perfect for me. It has a range of colours and if you go into your local Priceline, they will be able to colour match you. It’s very liquidy, which makes it easy to blend and it is very buildable.

Neutrogena Hydro Burst Moisturizer

The best moisturizer on the planet! This is so smooth and lightweight yet moisturizes so well! I hate when moisturizers feel on my skin for minutes after I’ve rubbed it in, this one doesn’t! It seeps in seamlessly.

Elf Eyebrow Kit

This is the best eyebrow kit I have ever found-and it’s only $3! The wax is smooth and creamy and so easy to blend in. The powder is also nice however, I find myself only ever using the wax. This kit comes in three colours, this one is the medium option but I do have the darker shade as a spare.

Maybelline ‘The Falsies’ Mascara

This mascara is perfect at flaring the corner of my lashes. This mascara creates a naturally flared look, perfect for an everyday transition into night time. I have been through 3 of these tubes.

L’Oreal Brow Plumper

Everything about this is amazing. The small tip is the perfect size, and I love how it has a lengthy wand. This comes in three colours; blonde, brown and clear. This is the brown however; I would love to try the clear one.

Face of Australia Liquid Liner

This is so easy to use and makes the most opaque line. It stays on all day and all night and never needs retouching. For under $10, this is the best in the market.

Mac ‘Painterly’ Paint Pot

Eyeshadow does not do justice without this underneath. It covers all veins on my eyelid, and makes eyeshadow vivid and vibrant. I would suggest this to everyone, however depending on your skin tone you may have to change the shade.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in ‘Translucent’

The most amazing setting powder ever! Everyone needs this, especially under eyes. It comes in three colours, yet I’ve only tried this one shade. The other two I believe are yellow and pink based, for a little more coverage rather than just as a setting.

Maybelline Lash Sensational

This is my favourite mascara ever! It creates lashes that look almost like fake lashes, which I love. I want huge lashes and this one makes them. It is a little more difficult to remove, however if you use the Garnier remover (one with half purple), it works well.

Hope you guys enjoyed this and if you use/have used any of these products, I’d love to hear what you think! Xx

Product Empties #2

I don’t know about you guys, but it is rare I will finish products quickly. I have a wide range of brands for each sections and I am constantly switching them up. However, I keep my used products in a box so I can later post my opinion, and as the box was getting full I decided to do one!

My current empties!

Rimmel Match Perfection

I have finished both the concealor and foundation of this collection and adored them both! I wont repurchase the concealor for awhile as I have SO MANY, however I will be buying the foundation again.

Swisspers Wipes

These makeup wipes are my faves. I think they’re similar to the Simple ones-I just love them because they are soft on the skin. Always a repurchase in my eyes.

Formula Pore Strips

I’m gonna be honest, not as good as the Biore ones. They don’t pull out as well and always leave my nose feeling so dry and crusty (something that never happens with the Biore ones).

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

A cult classic. This is fantastic for removing face makeup and is so soft on the skin. I love how it doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry. I have already repurchased it.

Dove Go Fresh Underarm

Is it appropriate to talk about deodorant? I feel like everyone has a fave and this is definitely not mine! This always left that white stain (you now the one!), I’d recommend Mitchum!

Witch Hazel Toner

Amazing! I still haven’t repurchased this despite running out of it at least two months ago! Toner I only use when I feel my skin has excess dirt. If I use it every day my skin begins feeling super dry and not healthy!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moistuizer

Although I have one of these in this empties, I’ve used around 3 tubs. It’s incredible! 100% the best moisturizer ever! It isn’t gluggy or sticky like others and soaks into skin naturally. I have 4 backups, not gonna lie.

Face of Australia Primer

L This has been deleted. I can’t find it ANYWHERE and it is my fave. I’m so sad. It’s so good.

Covergirl Flame Out Mascara

This is okay-ish however I know a lot of other fantastic mascaras so I will probably use those over this-good for a natural lash though!

Well there you have it! Some of my recent empties. I’m not sure if these are interesting or not so if you could tell me I’d really appreciate it! (If no, I can begin throwing things out right away instead of hoarding them like a loser!)

Rimmel London | Brand Faves

I don’t know about you-but when I find a good thing I’ll keep it going. If I believe a brand is god damn good I will most likely buy everything in its range.

Although drugstore prices in Australia can be up there, they do have quite a lot of sales and whenever they do, you’ll bet that I’ll be there picking out everything I don’t already have.

Rimmel London is a brand that I have found to have amazing quality at affordable prices. Today I thought I’d discuss my faves of my Rimmel London collection. Enjoy!

Lipsticks. Rimmel lipsticks are of incredible quality and such a wide range! The Kate Moss lipsticks in particular are amazing and if you have yet to pick any up, I’d suggest you drop whatever you’re doing right now and buy some. I think I will do swatches of all my Rimmel lipsticks soon so I’ll just tell you my favourites. Unfortunately, Rimmel lipsticks just have numbers so there are no creative names, but nevermind when they’re this good!

Faves: Kate Moss 107, Kate Moss 19, all the Apocalips Lip Velvets.

Primers. I have two Rimmel primers, and have found that one works well throughout the whole year and the other specifically in summer. The Fix and Perfect primer is amazing no matter the season however, I believe it has been deleted: nooooo! The Stay Matte primer is fantastic for your T-Zone during those oily months.

Face Products. The Rimmel Match Perfection foundation is incredible. It isn’t of extremely high coverage, yet it is full enough to cover imperfections well giving a natural look. At the moment I’ve been having trouble finding my perfect foundation shade, yet this save me as it kind of soaks into your skin to been the perfect shade. Both concealers are incredible, Match Perfection for acne and Wake Me Up for undereye brightening.

Powders. Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder is a cult product. Everyone has it and everyone loves it. I use this every day and I don’t have a bad thing to say about it. This Rimmel blush I love also, it gives the perfect naturally rosy cheek blush and has enough product to last you ages!

Eye products. Both mascaras are fantastic for different things, the Scandaleyes one for big clumpy lashes and the Wonderfull for natural flared lashes. The Wonderfull one has argan oil and is great for rejuvenating your eyes when you need to give them a break but have to wear mascara somewhere.

Although I haven’t used the coloured kajal liners very much, they are smooth and creamy and sit well on the eye. The Scandaleyes cream shadow stick is the same formula although doesn’t have a bright pigmentation, but is fantastic for a swipe of colour!

The Scandaleyes pen liner was the first liner I ever used that I was successful in achieving a cat flick. I believe it is similar to the Benefit They’re Real liner. It stays in place all day and doesn’t budge.

The Rimmel eyebrow pencil is smooth and is the best pencil I’ve ever tried. It’s one you definitely need to have! I just wish there were a wider range of colours.

Well there you have it! My Rimmel London faves, hope you enjoyed xxx
