Top 3 Primers | 12 Days of Xmas

Hey guys!

I love primer. I feel as though it helps my makeup immensely and makes it so much easier to blend. Although primer is definitely the part of my makeup collection that lacks a little, I still wanted to show my top 3 primers.

Here we go:

Rimmel Fix & Perfect

This primer I have rated third, as it lacks in a smoothing effect, but helps your makeup to stay in place all day. It minimizes blemishes and is orangey in colour, however; blends translucent on the skin. Overall, is a fantastic primer that is super convenient to get your hands on.

Model’s Prefer Liquid Light Primer

This is a super good primer for brightening. On mornings when I feel dead, but need to be somewhere; this ones my girl. Super easy to blend, and feels great on the skin! However, this is only available in Australia (sorry international peeps!)

Face of Australia Face Base Primer

This is my number one as it is everything. It’s a clear-ish liquid and feel so soothing on the skin (especially if you wake up with a break out). This is everything I need in a primer, really helps blend your foundation to a non-cakey looking masterpiece. Love this so much! (Also not available overseas-sorry!)

There you go! My top 3 primers! We’re almost at the end of 12 days of xmas-have you seen all my other posts? Xx

November Favourites

Hey guys!

I’m so excited to be writing another favourites-it feels as though it’s been so so long, as I skipped a month. Despite that, I don’t even have a huge amount of favourites but let’s get into it.

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liquid Liner

Holy crapola! If you struggle to do eyeliner flicks, this product will literally do them for you. It is so easy to use and creates a perfect line. Tip: wait for it to dry completely before blinking too much, it can transfer onto your lower lash line (easily fixable though, just get a thin eyeliner brush and brush it out).

Victoria’s Secret Strawberries & Champagne

I don’t wear perfumes. I mean, I didn’t even own any before this & I’m not sure why as when I put this on, I actually feel as though my outfit, makeup and hair are complete.

Jordana Blush in Coral Sandy Beach

I found all these Jordana products at a dollar store in NZ, so I thought I would try at least one, and I was not disappointed. I love blushes that are deeper pinks, such as this.

LA Girl Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bazaar

These liquid lipsticks are the bomb.com! I would say more… but something’s coming up.

Model’s Prefer Liquid Light Primer

The seasons have changed and in the southern hemisphere, it’s summer, and in my town it means it’s hot-SO HOT. I have had to change my primers up to something that will prevent my makeup sliding off my face, whilst feeling like I don’t have makeup on. This one is fabulous and does both these things well. Bonus: it also semi fills in pores-does it get any better?

Australis Tint My Brow

Brows are the one thing I always do. I have a routine down however; it’s always exciting to change up products. This brow tint has red undertones, which is great for some people however, I hardly notice them. I feel as though I can wear this alone, without filling my brows in before with a powder, and that’s how I know it’s a damn good product.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

BEST CONCEALER DOWN. Not kidding, I need to buy like 30 backups. It can be used alone, under eyes and even to cover acne. It’s the absolute best and I regret not buying more (but I will find them online somewhere, I’m sure). PS: sorry for my ugly hand.

Music Faves:

I’m about to do an entire post of all of my current favourite songs, so you can look forward to that (if you want to). But I will say, Love Me Like You by Little Mix is so good, you should take a listen.

Hope you liked! Xx

A Thrift Haul

Whyyy hello there peeps!

Yesterday, Katie from stealthespotlight (one of my absolute fave aussie youtubers), uploaded a video of all her top trifting tricks.

I took this as a sign that I needed to visit the thrift stores. I have been thrift shopping a couple of times and they’ve either been
super successful, or a waste of a trip.

Today, I picked up a bunch of stuff and I thought I’d share it with you all.

I bought this plain black pleated skirt. It can be high waisted which I love and it was only $5, super bargain.

Another black skirt, which surprisingly looks similar to the first one. Also $5, also a bargain.

I bought this high waisted knee length skirt however I think I will hem it 2 inches as it comes a bit lower than my knee.

This camo shirt with faux leather sleeves is super casual for an everyday look if it were paired with jeans.

This shirt is huge and navy. I keep very low-key with my outfits and usually only wear black/white however, navy is always an exception.

This is a nice cream jumper; however it looks a bit yellow in this. It’s so comfy and I’m so excited to wear it.

Ugh I have so many shirts and I was so excited to find these pants. They were in a pile so I’m not sure if they were someone else’s but I think they just forgot to put it back.

This cream shirt has a collar that I love so fking much! A nice iron and this shirt will be good to go!

This is a navy shirt with white lines on the sleeves, and is from GAP. Not sure if it’s authentic but it still had a tag from GAP on there and it said the original price was $44.99, and I got it for $5.

Basic af dress that I think is still cute, nice long necklace and boots.

I know this throwover will be so great in summer as it is the thinnest material and a jacket can really make the difference to an outfit.

Right? Right! I found this shirt in the men’s section and it was $3, I’m as shocked as you.

Have a great day! Xx

NYX Glosses | REVIEW + Swatches

So sorry for being MIA for so long loves! I just felt I needed a little break and I’m not too sure why but it felt good!

Anyway, I was in Target the other day and found these NYX glosses for only $1o! That’s a bargain if I ever heard of one! They’re from a holiday collection but I still thought I’d show you some swatches!

Firstly, I hate gloss. I don’t even really like lipsticks that aren’t matte, however I thought I’d try these out-just to see if I will change my mind.

Sorry about having no makeup on! I find it easier to take off lipstick as I can rub my entire face.

These smell funny, kind of like medicine I had as a child I think. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how creamy and smooth these were! The gloss stays in place whereas others I have found will creep down my face. Although I don’t have a heap of glosses to compare them to, I think these are a great and affordable option if you want some more glosses in your collection!

The red, in particular, is gorgeous! Even if I only wear that the price would’ve been worth it.
Although I’m unsure if NYX will still have this, I believe they will have more Christmas collections out this year which will probably be of similar formula/colour.

Have a great day xxx

June Favourites

Hello again all you beautiful people!

I feel like I need to step up my blogging game as I hardly put out any blog posts any more. However, I have got my June favourites today!

Favourites are super easy to talk about as ya know, they’re things I love.

The Body Shop Camomile Cleanser

O.M.G. This cleanser is so amazing! You rub it all over your face filled with makeup and then wash off with a hot cloth. This takes of everything so easily and leaves your skin feeling soft. It’s so hard to take off Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products but this does! Pick this up at your nearest convenience!

Face of Australia Base Primer

This primer is creamy and moisturizing while keeping your makeup on all day. I think this may have been deleted however; I’m not 100% sure. This lasts so long and I had it for at least a year and it still has product in it.

Pawpaw Ointment

As I said in my last favourites, my lips have been super chapped and dry and this is perfect for lugging around as it comes in two sizes! The taste isn’t very good in my opinion as I’m not big on fruit. The consistency is a semi-thick which I like as well.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer

This concealer I have been wearing alone (as in no foundation), as I have been having heaps of lazy days this month. This concealer is a great alternative to foundation and does not cake in places which I have trouble with. Such a good drugstore concealer!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Flex Mascara

This mascara creates an almost false lash effect and is a really good drugstore mascara. It’s hard to find a good mascara at a chap price but I think this one is quite good.

Revlon Colourstay Brow Pencil

This is a gel product as a pencil and it so great for lazy days! My eyebrows don’t match so I kind of need brow product every day. I’m not sure but I think it may be like the Brow Wiz.

Jessup Flattop Brush

This is my favourite way of applying foundation. It comes off the brush easily so I waste hardly any product and it covers my acne well. This comes in a pack from eBay and is so worth the affordable price!

Mitchum Deodorant

This deodorant is the best one I’ve ever found! It lasts all day and what else can I say? It’s just very good!

Mac Twig Lipstick

This lipstick is quickly becoming my number one favourite lipstick! I can’t wait to collect more Mac lipstick as they last so all day which I haven’t found in any other lipsticks (and I have A LOT!).

Well there we have it, another month down! Try out some of these products please!

L'Oreal True Match Foundation | REVIEW

Hello all! I have finally finished my assignments for this semester so I’m excited to produce some good blogposts! I decided to start off with a review! Hope you enjoy.

L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation Review

This foundation is my favourite ever! First of all, it gives an amazing coverage with is high medium. It covers acne seamlessly and is extremely blendable. The foundation comes in many shades, yet doesn’t have as many in Australia. I am in the shade either Vanilla or Rose Beige.

I have tried many foundations (all drugstore), however, this is the only foundation I’ve ever found that doesn’t have orange tones to it. I usually apply it with a Jessup Flattop Brush (from eBay) which is my favourite way of applying it.

This foundation retails for $29.95 AUD but you will often find it on sale for 30/40% off. This foundation is a drugstore foundation, however in Australia is around the same price as Benefit foundations.

Some foundations can cause pigmentation surrounding acne, however I find this one glides over them smoothly and hides them nicely. I always use a primer underneath and have most recently been using Face of Australia primers.

Overall, I have to say this foundation is definitely worth the money, and worth the try! I’m tempted to do a full makeup routine: products I use! This will definitely be in it!

See you next time xx

Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation + Concealer | FIRST IMPRESSION

Hello! For ages I have heard EleventhGorgeous rave about Covergirl’s new foundation “Ready, Set, Gorgeous!” It has just recently arrived in Australia and, as it was 50% off at Woolworths (and still is as this goes up), I thought I would pick up the foundation and concealer and do a first impression on them both!

Packaging

I personally hate when people talk about the packaging as to me it isn’t that important, but this tube is pretty cute and is perfect for travel! I love it when foundation isn’t in a glass tube as I am so clumsy and will probably drop one, one day.

What It Claims

The Foundation: One simple step for a flawless, natural look that lasts all day. The formula blends easily to even skin tone and reduces shine all day. It is oil free, won’t clog pores, and is suitable for sensitive skin.

The Concealer: Helps conceal dark circles and imperfections in an instant! The lightweight formula glides on smoothly, blends easily, and lasts all day. It is oil free, won’t clog pores, and is dermatologically tested.

My Review

Pls no judging for my non-matching eyebrow face
I picked up the shade 115 Buff Beige in the foundation which perfectly matches my skin tone, it has yellow undertones but isn’t orangey-the perfect shade! It’s in between a thick consistency and a thin consistency-also perfect. The foundation is definitely a medium coverage, and isn’t really buildable to a high coverage. I like this because it feels natural on the skin, still looks like skin but covers my acne well, which is a big thumbs up from me. I applied this with a sponge but I have to say I think it would be amazing applied with an applicator.

The concealer, which I got in the shade “Light, Pale” has a dofer applicator, which is my favourite for concealers. It’s a semi-thick look of a consistency but it is in between, like the foundation. It’s quite light but doesn’t cover huge dark circles, but it does a fair enough job. It blends well into my pimples well too, and covers up the redness of them. It has a natural finish and sinks into the skin a bit.

Overall

I would recommend this foundation as the natural, skin-like finish is perfect for all skin tones. The tube is perfect for travel and for $16.99 AUD RRP I would pick it up! As for the concealer, I would give it a miss as there are much better concealers out there.

Have a great day xx
