November Favourites

Hey guys!

I’m so excited to be writing another favourites-it feels as though it’s been so so long, as I skipped a month. Despite that, I don’t even have a huge amount of favourites but let’s get into it.

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liquid Liner

Holy crapola! If you struggle to do eyeliner flicks, this product will literally do them for you. It is so easy to use and creates a perfect line. Tip: wait for it to dry completely before blinking too much, it can transfer onto your lower lash line (easily fixable though, just get a thin eyeliner brush and brush it out).

Victoria’s Secret Strawberries & Champagne

I don’t wear perfumes. I mean, I didn’t even own any before this & I’m not sure why as when I put this on, I actually feel as though my outfit, makeup and hair are complete.

Jordana Blush in Coral Sandy Beach

I found all these Jordana products at a dollar store in NZ, so I thought I would try at least one, and I was not disappointed. I love blushes that are deeper pinks, such as this.

LA Girl Liquid Matte Lipstick in Bazaar

These liquid lipsticks are the bomb.com! I would say more… but something’s coming up.

Model’s Prefer Liquid Light Primer

The seasons have changed and in the southern hemisphere, it’s summer, and in my town it means it’s hot-SO HOT. I have had to change my primers up to something that will prevent my makeup sliding off my face, whilst feeling like I don’t have makeup on. This one is fabulous and does both these things well. Bonus: it also semi fills in pores-does it get any better?

Australis Tint My Brow

Brows are the one thing I always do. I have a routine down however; it’s always exciting to change up products. This brow tint has red undertones, which is great for some people however, I hardly notice them. I feel as though I can wear this alone, without filling my brows in before with a powder, and that’s how I know it’s a damn good product.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

BEST CONCEALER DOWN. Not kidding, I need to buy like 30 backups. It can be used alone, under eyes and even to cover acne. It’s the absolute best and I regret not buying more (but I will find them online somewhere, I’m sure). PS: sorry for my ugly hand.

Music Faves:

I’m about to do an entire post of all of my current favourite songs, so you can look forward to that (if you want to). But I will say, Love Me Like You by Little Mix is so good, you should take a listen.

Hope you liked! Xx

Rimmel London | Brand Faves

I don’t know about you-but when I find a good thing I’ll keep it going. If I believe a brand is god damn good I will most likely buy everything in its range.

Although drugstore prices in Australia can be up there, they do have quite a lot of sales and whenever they do, you’ll bet that I’ll be there picking out everything I don’t already have.

Rimmel London is a brand that I have found to have amazing quality at affordable prices. Today I thought I’d discuss my faves of my Rimmel London collection. Enjoy!

Lipsticks. Rimmel lipsticks are of incredible quality and such a wide range! The Kate Moss lipsticks in particular are amazing and if you have yet to pick any up, I’d suggest you drop whatever you’re doing right now and buy some. I think I will do swatches of all my Rimmel lipsticks soon so I’ll just tell you my favourites. Unfortunately, Rimmel lipsticks just have numbers so there are no creative names, but nevermind when they’re this good!

Faves: Kate Moss 107, Kate Moss 19, all the Apocalips Lip Velvets.

Primers. I have two Rimmel primers, and have found that one works well throughout the whole year and the other specifically in summer. The Fix and Perfect primer is amazing no matter the season however, I believe it has been deleted: nooooo! The Stay Matte primer is fantastic for your T-Zone during those oily months.

Face Products. The Rimmel Match Perfection foundation is incredible. It isn’t of extremely high coverage, yet it is full enough to cover imperfections well giving a natural look. At the moment I’ve been having trouble finding my perfect foundation shade, yet this save me as it kind of soaks into your skin to been the perfect shade. Both concealers are incredible, Match Perfection for acne and Wake Me Up for undereye brightening.

Powders. Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder is a cult product. Everyone has it and everyone loves it. I use this every day and I don’t have a bad thing to say about it. This Rimmel blush I love also, it gives the perfect naturally rosy cheek blush and has enough product to last you ages!

Eye products. Both mascaras are fantastic for different things, the Scandaleyes one for big clumpy lashes and the Wonderfull for natural flared lashes. The Wonderfull one has argan oil and is great for rejuvenating your eyes when you need to give them a break but have to wear mascara somewhere.

Although I haven’t used the coloured kajal liners very much, they are smooth and creamy and sit well on the eye. The Scandaleyes cream shadow stick is the same formula although doesn’t have a bright pigmentation, but is fantastic for a swipe of colour!

The Scandaleyes pen liner was the first liner I ever used that I was successful in achieving a cat flick. I believe it is similar to the Benefit They’re Real liner. It stays in place all day and doesn’t budge.

The Rimmel eyebrow pencil is smooth and is the best pencil I’ve ever tried. It’s one you definitely need to have! I just wish there were a wider range of colours.

Well there you have it! My Rimmel London faves, hope you enjoyed xxx

L'Oreal True Match Foundation | REVIEW

Hello all! I have finally finished my assignments for this semester so I’m excited to produce some good blogposts! I decided to start off with a review! Hope you enjoy.

L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation Review

This foundation is my favourite ever! First of all, it gives an amazing coverage with is high medium. It covers acne seamlessly and is extremely blendable. The foundation comes in many shades, yet doesn’t have as many in Australia. I am in the shade either Vanilla or Rose Beige.

I have tried many foundations (all drugstore), however, this is the only foundation I’ve ever found that doesn’t have orange tones to it. I usually apply it with a Jessup Flattop Brush (from eBay) which is my favourite way of applying it.

This foundation retails for $29.95 AUD but you will often find it on sale for 30/40% off. This foundation is a drugstore foundation, however in Australia is around the same price as Benefit foundations.

Some foundations can cause pigmentation surrounding acne, however I find this one glides over them smoothly and hides them nicely. I always use a primer underneath and have most recently been using Face of Australia primers.

Overall, I have to say this foundation is definitely worth the money, and worth the try! I’m tempted to do a full makeup routine: products I use! This will definitely be in it!

See you next time xx

February Favourites 2015

Hello all! Well it’s been ages since I’ve sat down and written a post as most of my last ones were queued. I’m sorry for the block in uploading, where I live had a cyclone and the power went down for about a week. Nonetheless, I’m back with my February favourites!

I bought quite a few things in January and so I thought I’d take the month of February to really test them out. I was on a spending ban during Feb (and was successful-yes!) so next month probably won’t have as my favourites.

The two brushes I have been loving this month is the Elf Blush Brush, which is the perfect size for dem cheekers, and the Real Techniques Powder Brush, this brush has honestly made my life 1000 times better. GET THIS BRUSH IN UR LIFE.

I also have two lipsticks, this Chichi lipstick in Checkin In, the perfect nude shade and Rimmel Kate Moss in 112 which is red with a brown undertone and makes you look fierce as ever.

This Anastasia Brow Pomade is literal heaven. I can’t believe that I never used to do my brows, now they’re an essential and I think I’d prefer to leave home with no mascara than no brows.

This Face of Australia Contour Kit I have owned for quite awhile, yet has only recently become my go-to. It sculpts the face nicely and is also amazing for bronzing, it’s limited edition, so I may still be available at some places but I’m not too sure.

This foundation was my first Mac purchase, I’m surprised as I thought it would’ve been a lipstick or concealer, this foundation is incredible! I don’t like to label things as holy grail unless I know I will never back out of it, but this foundation will probably become mine. I love L’Oreal True Match, yet I find its quite thick on the skin so I only like to wear it at night, this is the same coverage and is great day/night/any time of day. I currently have nothing bad to say about it.

Revlon Skinlights in Rose is an amazing highlight for cheekbones. It’s great in hot weather too, as it’s a liquid. It reminds me of the Nars Illuminator in Copacabana, but I’m not sure if it’s a dupe or not.

Well, there you have it, my Februrary favourites! I start Uni in a week and I’m slightly nervous but I’m sure it’ll be fine. Wish me luck!

January Favourites

Hello all! Well, the first month is over and I am going to try to do every single month of favourites this year. It’s quite a task for me as I’m terrible at sticking to a schedules but I will try to have a monthly faves on the last day of every month.

This month I have been kind of using the same products every day, and have also experimented with a lot of new products, as I have been working a lot so I’ve been earning more money which means I can blow more (I think?).

Anyway, onto the products:

Elf Eyebrow Kit + Real Techniques Angled Liner Brush

This eyebrow kit has literally transformed makeup for me! I cannot not do my eyebrows now and this makes it so simple! For $8 at kmart or $3 on iHerb it’s winner winner chicken dinner! Also this brush is amazing with it!

Elf St Lucia Bronzing and Blush Duo

Forget the blush, this bronzer does an amazing job of warming up the face, I especially like this on my neck as kind of a barrier between my face makeup and my neck tan.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barley Branded

This colour is the perfect base for any shadows I want to use. It is fantastic alone and even better mixed with other shadows.

Maxfactor Single Shadow in Burnt Bark

This colour I liketo use alone in the crease of my eye as it gives my eye definition and the colour is fantastic for everyday use.

Covergirl Advanced Radiance Powder

I’m not a huge powder person, but this one is fantastic after I set my makeup to use as extra coverage.

NYX Blush in Pinched

The perfect blush colour in my opinion! This is my first NY product and honestly I need more!

Models Prefer Nude Lipstick in Bare

This month has been all about nudes (hehe)! I don’t know why but I always thought nudes wouldn’t look good on me as I have such light skin, but I have been using brown nude colours and I love them! They’re the perfect everyday colour.

Palmers Cocoa Butter

My face had a huge breakout for about a week straight and almost every day I was visiting drugstore to find a new product that would hopefully work and I stumbled upon this moisturizer. It’s really thick and I wouldn’t recommend it for everyday use but it worked a dream for my acne and I would recommend it if you have a bad break out!

Those were my January favourites! I hope you enjoyed it, have a lovely day/night depending on where you are! xxx
