May Favourites

Hello all!

It always feels like I go to sit down and write a post and I’m again writing my favourites! It’s so easy to write these posts as I just talk about what I have been loving!

Anyway, onto the goods:

Makeup:

Too Faced Original Chocolate Bar Palette

This was an enabled purchase for me as my sister was at Mecca and texted me saying, ‘do you want choc palette?’ and I said yes. For $65 I think this is a semi-luxury palette but everyone needs it! Firstly, this smells AMAZING and the pigmentation is so good! This palette can create both a natural or creative look.

Nars Laguna Bronzing Powder

Ugh this is the most adorable packaging. I love clean, cut things so this packaging is amazing in my eyes. It looks a bit orangey, but it doesn’t blend out that way. It is extremely blendable and can be used as a light contour. For $ 49 this is an expensive bronzer, however, if you love makeup like me, it’s worth it.

LA Girl Pro Concealer

This is the first concealer I have found that can cover these dreaded dark under eye circles I’ve been getting recently. I think the reason why is because it has a pink undertone. For $3, you can’t go wrong!

Rimmel Blush in Coral

This is an everyday colour that has a smooth payoff. It’s a coral shade that I believe would look good on every skin tone. It is great for adding a bit more warmth to my cheeks.

ELF Highlighter in Gotta Glow

I want to compare this to Nars Albatross as I think they might be the same. It’s perfect for the cheekbones and not at all chalky. I am amazed at how much definition this can give your face.

MAC Painterly Paint Pot

This is holy grail for me! I cannot put eyeshadow on without it first. It covers up all my veins and makes all eyeshadows pop. I would recommend this to everyone who wears eyeshadow as it just makes everything better.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

My lips have been terribly dry and chapped recently and this saved them! It isn’t tacky or liquidy which I love. It is a life saver!

Chichi Viva La Diva Lipstick in O.M.Nude

The perfect nude colour for light skinned girls! It has pink undertones but is mostly brown. The formulation is amazing (on par with MAC), and I need to collect more of these!

Music:

Kendrick Lamar

I love his new (ish) song King Kunta, which tells a historic story through song. It is incredibly catchy and if you have yet to hear it, do now!

Bad Blood Music Video Taylor Swift

PLEASE TAYLOR LET ME BE APART OF YOUR SQUAD IT WOULD MAKE MY LIFE THAT’S ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

Those are all my favourites for this past month, what are yours?

February Favourites 2015

Hello all! Well it’s been ages since I’ve sat down and written a post as most of my last ones were queued. I’m sorry for the block in uploading, where I live had a cyclone and the power went down for about a week. Nonetheless, I’m back with my February favourites!

I bought quite a few things in January and so I thought I’d take the month of February to really test them out. I was on a spending ban during Feb (and was successful-yes!) so next month probably won’t have as my favourites.

The two brushes I have been loving this month is the Elf Blush Brush, which is the perfect size for dem cheekers, and the Real Techniques Powder Brush, this brush has honestly made my life 1000 times better. GET THIS BRUSH IN UR LIFE.

I also have two lipsticks, this Chichi lipstick in Checkin In, the perfect nude shade and Rimmel Kate Moss in 112 which is red with a brown undertone and makes you look fierce as ever.

This Anastasia Brow Pomade is literal heaven. I can’t believe that I never used to do my brows, now they’re an essential and I think I’d prefer to leave home with no mascara than no brows.

This Face of Australia Contour Kit I have owned for quite awhile, yet has only recently become my go-to. It sculpts the face nicely and is also amazing for bronzing, it’s limited edition, so I may still be available at some places but I’m not too sure.

This foundation was my first Mac purchase, I’m surprised as I thought it would’ve been a lipstick or concealer, this foundation is incredible! I don’t like to label things as holy grail unless I know I will never back out of it, but this foundation will probably become mine. I love L’Oreal True Match, yet I find its quite thick on the skin so I only like to wear it at night, this is the same coverage and is great day/night/any time of day. I currently have nothing bad to say about it.

Revlon Skinlights in Rose is an amazing highlight for cheekbones. It’s great in hot weather too, as it’s a liquid. It reminds me of the Nars Illuminator in Copacabana, but I’m not sure if it’s a dupe or not.

Well, there you have it, my Februrary favourites! I start Uni in a week and I’m slightly nervous but I’m sure it’ll be fine. Wish me luck!

April Favourites

Oh look- another month has ended and I am another month closer to graduating.

This month I have gone ballistic over beauty related things and had a hard time narrowing it down to pick my favourites. I haven’t done a favourites blog post in a while so I hope you do enjoy.

Diet Rite: Ginger Beer

I have never really been a fan of ginger beer. Although, recently my mum offered me some of this and since then, I literally drown in it every day. Not kidding; I drink it every day and that is so unhealthy.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

It has taken me a long time to find a concealer that I love and I am so glad I finally have I bought it randomly one day just to see if it was good or not. It is actually fantastic. Can be used as a general face concealer as well as an under eye concealer.

Revlon Colorburst-Striking

This month I have been going insane for red lips and these new (ish ?) lip stains from Revlon I have fallen in love with. They are extremely pigmented and are long lasting. Note: the photo looks like its orange but do not be mistaken it is actually red.

Garnier Perfect Blur

I don’t want to give a full detail review because I plan on doing that soon but it is crazy how much I love this.

Candle-Vanilla and Fig

What can I say? I caved and have now bought into the candle phase. But at least my room smells good am I right?

Garnier Gentle Cleansing Milk

I usually use this at night time and it is so lovely! It looks like milk (although doesn’t have the same texture) and is great for soothing your skin before bed!

So those are all my favourites for the month of April! If you have any suggestions for other products I should try please do leave a comment.
