Holy Grail Products

Hey guys! I’ve spoken about holy grail products throughout posts on my blog, however they’re all strewn about so I thought I’d do a post highlighting my absolute holy grail products.

Just to say, these products are the BEST. This category is pretty exclusive (ooooh) so these products, I believe, are so bloody incredible. They have never faltered to work flawlessly with my skin, all year around.

L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation

This is my number 1 foundation; its heavy duty yet doesn’t feel that way on your skin. It covers acne and doesn’t cake around pimples. All foundations are different on every person however I find this one is perfect for me. It has a range of colours and if you go into your local Priceline, they will be able to colour match you. It’s very liquidy, which makes it easy to blend and it is very buildable.

Neutrogena Hydro Burst Moisturizer

The best moisturizer on the planet! This is so smooth and lightweight yet moisturizes so well! I hate when moisturizers feel on my skin for minutes after I’ve rubbed it in, this one doesn’t! It seeps in seamlessly.

Elf Eyebrow Kit

This is the best eyebrow kit I have ever found-and it’s only $3! The wax is smooth and creamy and so easy to blend in. The powder is also nice however, I find myself only ever using the wax. This kit comes in three colours, this one is the medium option but I do have the darker shade as a spare.

Maybelline ‘The Falsies’ Mascara

This mascara is perfect at flaring the corner of my lashes. This mascara creates a naturally flared look, perfect for an everyday transition into night time. I have been through 3 of these tubes.

L’Oreal Brow Plumper

Everything about this is amazing. The small tip is the perfect size, and I love how it has a lengthy wand. This comes in three colours; blonde, brown and clear. This is the brown however; I would love to try the clear one.

Face of Australia Liquid Liner

This is so easy to use and makes the most opaque line. It stays on all day and all night and never needs retouching. For under $10, this is the best in the market.

Mac ‘Painterly’ Paint Pot

Eyeshadow does not do justice without this underneath. It covers all veins on my eyelid, and makes eyeshadow vivid and vibrant. I would suggest this to everyone, however depending on your skin tone you may have to change the shade.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in ‘Translucent’

The most amazing setting powder ever! Everyone needs this, especially under eyes. It comes in three colours, yet I’ve only tried this one shade. The other two I believe are yellow and pink based, for a little more coverage rather than just as a setting.

Maybelline Lash Sensational

This is my favourite mascara ever! It creates lashes that look almost like fake lashes, which I love. I want huge lashes and this one makes them. It is a little more difficult to remove, however if you use the Garnier remover (one with half purple), it works well.

Hope you guys enjoyed this and if you use/have used any of these products, I’d love to hear what you think! Xx

April Favourites

Hey guys its favourite’s time! I actually kind of struggled to think of what I was using a lot this month and what I have been loving a lot. Despite this, I did eventually find enough products that I love.

Onto the goods!

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer

This concealer’s formulation is semi-thick but is light in colouration which is fantastic for under my eyes. This concealer is a lot different than the foundation, as it has peachy undertones unlike orange like the foundation.

NYX Full Coverage Cream Concealer

This is the perfect concealer for pimples, it’s the perfect match for my skin and covers redness well.

Soap and Glory Solar Powder

This bronzer is THE BEST! I bought it from eBay as it isn’t available in Australia. This has two shade tones and mixed together this is the perfect bronzer to warm up the face.

Face of Australia Liquid Liner

This is the perfect liner if you want to learn how to use liquid liner formulations. It’s wet but dries quick, yet slow enough to have the ability to draw it correctly.

L’Oreal Brow Artist

Alert: fave products of the month! Everyone needs this product, I just hope they come out with more shades, THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE WITH EYEBROWS THAT ARENT JUST BLONDE OR BROWN!

Australis Lip Liner in Nude

I have been wearing this under most of lipsticks recently and it helps my lips to stay all day. It’s a perfect everyday shade.

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I love this scrub and when I don’t use it, my lips become so gross. When I run out I will try to make my own and see how it compares.

Rimmel Apocalips Velvet Shades

The formulations of these are amazing! They dry to matte but are still creamy. I adore these and really want to pick up the orange shade, but not sure if I’d wear it. I’d recommend getting some of these!

Well, those are my April Favourites! Hope you liked an d that you get some of these incredible products!

Next time xx

L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint Foundation | REVIEW

Hello all!

Out of all makeup products, foundations are the most fun to try, as they’re the base for all other makeup, it’s amazing when you find one that works, it’s a dream. I have a lot of foundations (not too many, but more than the average person).

I thought I would begin reviewing my foundations, starting with the L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint. I hope you enjoy!

What it claims: A perfectly nude look, a flawless finish without the heavy make-up feel. With its lighter than water formula, Nude Magique Eau de Teint provides undetectable coverage while letting skin breathe for a fresh and flawless complexion. The velvety texture endlessly glides over skin, creating a perfectly natural look without the heavy make-up feel.

My Opinion: although L’Oreal is a drugstore brand, in Australia their products are about the same price as Benefit (online not at David Jones). This foundation is $24.99 RRP which you can find on sale for under $20, which isn’t overly bad. The foundation is packaged in a glass square tub (?) which is on the weighty side. The foundation is watery; you have to make sure to shake it before use. The foundation is super blendable and feels like a satin finish in the skin. Although it probably isn’t, it feels as though it’s letting my skin breathe. It’s extremely buildable, and can be a medium-high coverage. It suggests you tip it out onto your fingers and then swipe across your face but I think it’s better if you pour it out onto a palette. It just gives you more control. It does a fantastic job of covering redness.

I would recommend this foundation to people who want a non-cakey feeling foundation. It’s perfect for everyday wear and I think it would work best on dryer skin.

Hope you liked this review xx
