Top 10 Under $10 (Australian Beauty)

Hello there! In Australia, our makeup is massively overpriced, so it’s difficult to find things under $1o. However, I decided to do my 10 products under $10 anyway!

These products are amazing, and come in quite a big range so I hope you enjoy xx

BYS Eyeshadow Singles-$2 Each

These eyeshadows are incredibly pigmented! The 3 blue shades are all dried as I didn’t put them in palette straightaway and they sat there for about 2 years but the bronze shade is amazing! The empty palette is about $5 and these are very easy to find.

Face of Australia Liquid Liner-$8.95

This liner is so amazing! It dries fairly quickly, but no so quick that you have a bit of time to fix any mistakes, it dries semi-matte and lasts all day in place! I’ve been seeing this reduced at a lot of places recently so it might be discontinued soon.

ELF Eyebrow Kit-$8

This is available at Kmart for $8 or you can buy it on iHerb.com for about 3. The wax is amazing and is perfect for medium-full brows. It’s very buildable and is so affordable!

Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencils-$9.95

These are incredible! The shades have a wide range and these are on sale quite often! Nude Perfection is close to looking like Mac’s Velvet Teddy and for $10 that’s incredible! I think I will buy Orange Fab next because it looks so nice!

NYX Blushes-$9.95

These blushes have so much product in them and are very pigmented! They can be found at Target and Myer and are on sale fairly often on sale. These are probably my favourite blushes ever.

NYX HD Concealer-$7.95

I bought this from eBay but I assume they stock it at Myer and Target (although I cant find it on their website) this is an amazing concealer at hiding those “I was up studying until 2am” undereye circles and lasts all day!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub-$9.95

This is my HG lip product, every day I go somewhere without using this, my lips dry up and it is so horrible. They become so sore that I think I need to buy another just for my handbag!

NYX Concealer Jar-$9.95

This concealer is perfect for hiding dark circles and acne! I use it before my foundation and it matches my skin so well! I know you can definitely find this at Target as that’s where I bought mine!

Essence Lip Liners-$2

These have incredible pigmentation and can be worn on their own, under lipgloss or under lipstick. Essence is known for being cheap but these lip liners definitely do give off that they were loose change cheap!

NYX Wonder Pencil-$8.95

This pencil is perfect for the waterline, and can even be used to neaten up brows! The creamy formulation is good when used on the waterline as it doesn’t hurt as much as a sharp pencil sometimes does.

Well there you are! These are my top10 under $10. I would recommend these to all and I hope you try some of these out! Xx

Models Prefer Lipstick Swatches

Hello!

Recently I was at Priceline and saw these Models Prefer lipstick packs for $5 each. I bought both and decided to do a lipstick swatch post.

The lipsticks are a creamy formula and are amazing quality for around $1.70 each. The bright colours are very opaque and although the nude colours all kind of look alike, they are all incredible!

Anyway, onto the swatches:

Top: Heartbreaker, Forbidden Kiss, Va-va Voom
Bottom: Sweet Dreams, Kisschasy, Paparazzi Pink

There you go! Hope you liked these swatches and I would definitely recommend these, you can pick them up from Priceline!

L'Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint Foundation | REVIEW

Hello all!

Out of all makeup products, foundations are the most fun to try, as they’re the base for all other makeup, it’s amazing when you find one that works, it’s a dream. I have a lot of foundations (not too many, but more than the average person).

I thought I would begin reviewing my foundations, starting with the L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint. I hope you enjoy!

What it claims: A perfectly nude look, a flawless finish without the heavy make-up feel. With its lighter than water formula, Nude Magique Eau de Teint provides undetectable coverage while letting skin breathe for a fresh and flawless complexion. The velvety texture endlessly glides over skin, creating a perfectly natural look without the heavy make-up feel.

My Opinion: although L’Oreal is a drugstore brand, in Australia their products are about the same price as Benefit (online not at David Jones). This foundation is $24.99 RRP which you can find on sale for under $20, which isn’t overly bad. The foundation is packaged in a glass square tub (?) which is on the weighty side. The foundation is watery; you have to make sure to shake it before use. The foundation is super blendable and feels like a satin finish in the skin. Although it probably isn’t, it feels as though it’s letting my skin breathe. It’s extremely buildable, and can be a medium-high coverage. It suggests you tip it out onto your fingers and then swipe across your face but I think it’s better if you pour it out onto a palette. It just gives you more control. It does a fantastic job of covering redness.

I would recommend this foundation to people who want a non-cakey feeling foundation. It’s perfect for everyday wear and I think it would work best on dryer skin.

Hope you liked this review xx

An "omg-i-actually-got-into-uni-I-can’t-believe-it" Makeup Haul

Hello lovely beings! I have a little haul for you today. I treated myself as I found out I was accepted into my preferred university course! I could just be making up an excuse to why I bought this all in one go, but honestly I’m very proud of myself! Anyway, onto the haul!

I went to four places, and bought only beauty products. I went to Chemist Warehouse (who are having 50% off cosmetics), Priceline (the mothership), a tiny boutique, and kmart!

At Chemist Warehouse I purchased 3 things:

-Revlon Skinlights Illuminator in Rose
-Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer (a repurchase).
-Maybelline Lipstick in Coffee Craze

Next I visited Priceline, I did have a voucher from Christmas so I only really spent $9.00. I bought:

-L’Oreal Nude Magique Foundation
-L’Oreal True match Concealer
-Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer
-Model’s Prefer Nude Lipstick in Naked

Next up is kmart, I only bought clearance items though:

-Maybelline Lipstick in Nearly There
-Maybelline Blush in Light Nude

There’s a small boutique in my town, and it sells Limecrime products. I only purchased one item, a Limerime Velvetine in Salem.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my, “omg-i-actually-got-into-uni-I-can’t-believe-it” haul!

Have a fantastic night/day/morning!

Savvy Perfect Pout Mini Lipsticks | REVIEW

Hello, recently Priceline had their 40% off all cosmetics sale (which they only have, around twice a year). Everyone who remotely enjoys makeup went crazy (as we should).

I went to two different Priceline’s on the first day and ended up buying these Savvy Perfect Pout Mini Lipsticks. They come in a pack of 10, and retail for $10. The colours range from nudes, to bright reds. As soon as I saw these I thought they’d be perfect for someone who wants a range of lip colours, and doesn’t have a lot of money.

Each lipstick comes in a black tube which has 3.2g of product in them. They’re all matte shades. They’re very cute, but how good are they actually?

The colours include:

Riot: A nude/pinky colour.
Nudie Run: A nude/brown colour, with a tiny bit of pink undertone.
Berry Appealing: A bright redish/pink.
Sacred Scarlet: A dark brown shade, with a red undertone.
Platform: A rustic red shade with a tinge of brown.
Icon: A bright purple, in fact I’d describe it as an Ursula Purple.
Red Velvet: A bright red, extremely matte.
Bonfire: A bright orange with a red undertone.
Flirty Flamingo: A dulled hot pink shade.
Petulant Plum: A deep/medium purple. Has a pink undertone.

From L-R As Above.
These lipsticks are amazing for the price, and really give a good range of colours. However, as soon as I attempted to open/apply they broke off. I’m not sure if this happened to everyone, but it really disappointed me. As the product goes, they’re very creamy and would go perfect underneath lip gloss! It just really let me down how easily they could break, but I mean, for $10 I would definitely recommend them!

Have a nice day! Toodaloo x
