Shortbread Biscuits

Hello all! Today I decided to do a baking post.

Firstly, I am such a bad cook; I don’t know why I just cannot do it. So when I made these shortbread’s earlier today I was extremely pleased with how well they turned out and thought I’d share them.

Ingredients:
150g plain flour
100g butter
50 sugar
Vanilla

Method:
1.        Cube butter and rub flour in until they together resemble crumbs
2.       Add sugar and vanilla and fold together to form a fairly firm dough
3.       Wrap in plastic (cling film) and rest in the fridge for 20 minutes
4.      Once the 20 minutes is up, preheat oven to 180oC
5.       Roll out dough and cut desired shapes placing them on a baking tray
6.      Bake for approximately 20 minutes

Your shortbreads should resemble something like this.
Enjoy!

Happiness.

Happiness. We’ve all yearned for it at times. The question is: how does one ever know if they’re truly happy? Well I believe as human beings we can never be completely happy. Human beings are unable to feel happiness due to a couple of things.

It’s weird, whenever I looked at the sky- I always feel content. Content. Not happy. This is because the sky is calming. Sometimes, as people, we confuse comfort with happiness. The truth being, if you think you’re happy at work –you’re probably having relationship problems. There, Is where the unhappiness comes in. and the power of unhappiness is that unfortunately it’s so overpowering that it takes over the happy parts.

This is simply just my opinion and I felt like writing about it. Hmm.

Hello all!
Firstly, I just wanted to apologise for not blogging for a couple of months-my computer was going crazy and wouldn’t let me make a new post.
But I am back-hurray! Anyway, for the last few months I have been on school holidays and have bought a lot of clothes, today I thought I would show you some of my favourite pieces. (note: not everything I bought is here as it would’ve been around 30 photos so I only chose a few.)

Happy New Year!

"New year-new me!" is one of the most overused phrases this time of year. I don’t think that anyone should be aiming for a “new me” just a slightly improved happier “me.” New year resolutions are always looked at as something that is never achievable. Well I totally disagree. New Year resolutions give you a chance to WANT to improve, and despite if you do or not-at least you knew you wanted to. Every year I make a New Year resolution and sometimes they’re successful and sometimes not-but at least I know that I actually wanted to change. For 2012 I wanted to spend less time on Facebook. Unfortunately I didn't actually achieve it that year (although I did in 2013 but I don’t think replacing it for tumblr is allowed). In late 2012 and early 2013 I felt like crap about myself everyday so I decided that I couldn't’t achieve anything with such a negative attitude therefore I decided that by 2014 I would be happier. It seems so simple but it wasn't-it wasn't until around maybe August that I really tried. But I’m here and I am happy.

This year I decided that I will take more photos as I am really getting into photography and feel as if I need to remember this year as I’ll be: getting my license, graduating high school, going to formal and hopefully just genuinely have a great year.
Maybe you can come along with me on this fantastic journey.

My Everyday Makeup Regime

Hello everyone. So today I thought about writing a blogpost on my everyday makeup routine. Now although I am quite interested in makeup I actually don’t wear very much. This is basically just what I like to wear to school or if im doing something casual that requires minimal makeup. So I’ll get started.

Firstly I use the Covergirl Invisible Concealer in Medium Moyen (3177). I bought this a little while back and it’s been quite good to me although when it runs out I think I will be on the search for a new one. To apply this I just dab it in the places I need it and then just dab-blend it with my finger. After that I will brush it over with my concealer brush (I don’t actually know the name or brand of it I’m afraid)

Next I apply my foundation which is currently the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in Ivory. I love the feeling of it on my skin and also it has a very unique smell and at first I was quite put off by it, but it is actually a really nice smell. I apply this with my Bold Thin Lizzy brush although currently I am in the midst of finding the perfect brush.
Lastly I use Covergirl lashblast fusion mascara in Very Black. I’m going to be honest, I would not buy this again, it’s too clumpy for my liking although the upside it is water resistant and does last all day.
So this is all the makeup I use for my everyday makeup. I am aware it isn’t much but it’s all I think I need while at school.
