Happiness is Healthy.

This week has dragged on for too long. Despite it only being Thursday night, I had some things to say. This was basically my week: (moral of the story at the end)

Monday: There were far too many assignments due. You know when all your teachers gang up on you and decide that this’ll be the day and literally EVERYTHING is due? Yeah? That was Monday.
Tuesday: the worst day of my year. I’m very insecure, and I had confrontation. Despite this, a very popular boy in my class called my friends and I “nerds” and even though it isn’t exactly an insult (at least not a creative one), I was very offended. See this boy in the past has made me feel uncomfortable and as if I don’t belong, which isn’t a nice feeling at all.
Wednesday: a fight between my friends. Apparently I was in the middle but I’m still not sure what I did.

And of course, Thursday: finally. A good day. My friends and I ate cake and made a huge mess, I went to a job interview and got it! (woo!)

And now we’re here. Someone pointed out to me that all my problems could be (slightly?) resolved if I just didn’t care, if I ignored people who didn’t matter and focused on my happiness. And that is exactly what I plan to do. I know it’ll be hard because it’s true, I do care far too much. But I’m willing to try, and that makes me happy.

I’ll leave you with this, the wise words of Dan Howell, and something I think about often:

(P.S. within reason and as long as it doesn’t endanger yourself and/or anyone else)

Happiness.

Happiness. We’ve all yearned for it at times. The question is: how does one ever know if they’re truly happy? Well I believe as human beings we can never be completely happy. Human beings are unable to feel happiness due to a couple of things.

It’s weird, whenever I looked at the sky- I always feel content. Content. Not happy. This is because the sky is calming. Sometimes, as people, we confuse comfort with happiness. The truth being, if you think you’re happy at work –you’re probably having relationship problems. There, Is where the unhappiness comes in. and the power of unhappiness is that unfortunately it’s so overpowering that it takes over the happy parts.

This is simply just my opinion and I felt like writing about it. Hmm.
