Revlon Lipstick Collection

I love lipsticks, and although I don’t have an overly huge collection, I still think I have quite a few.

I love Revlon lipsticks, I find them extremely moisturizing, long lasting, and a great quality. I always buy them on sale as when they’re not they’re around $25 AUD, which to me is expensive.

I have quite a few, and these are them:

#025 Sky Line Pink
#413 Twinkled Pink
#420 Blushed
#20 Heather Frost
#103 Caramel Glace
#457 Wild Orchid

If you do not have any Revlon lipsticks, I would definitely recommend them to you.

Healthyish Pasta Salad | Lunch Ideas

You know when you’re really hungry but you don’t want to eat unhealthy, don’t have the skills to cook a masterpiece, and can’t spare the money to go somewhere for lunch? Well this is a daily dilemma when you’re me. Since I experience this so often, I have had to discover ways to avoid it.

So here, is my recipe a healthy, quick and easy lunch idea!

(PS: I am not a health expert, in fact this meal isn’t even that healthy. I’m just saying it’s healthier than getting maccas.) (“maccas” is the Australian word for McDonalds.)

Healthyish Pasta Salad

Ingredients:
·         1 Cup Pasta
·         Handful of bacon/ham
·         Handful of peas
·         Handful of corn
·         Ranch dressing

You can mix this up, add more vegies or change the dressing to your preference.

Method:

1.       Boil water.
2.       Add pasta into water, mixing ever so often to avoid pasta sticking together.
3.      Microwave extra ingredients until hot.
4.      Once pasta is cooked, drain out excess water and add pasta to a bowl.
5.      Add extra ingredients to bowl and mix together.
6.      Add in dressing into pasta mix and stir.
7.      Congrats. You are grade 10 masterchef.

You can even make this the night before and eat it cold. I know this seems like such a simple meal, but sometimes even though something is simple, it isn’t always thought of.

Have a good week y’all!

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder vs Maybelline Matte Maker

Hello!

Today I decided to finally write a comparison of two similar products: Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder, and Maybelline Matte Maker Powder. I’ve wanted to do this post for a while, so if it sounds like something you would be interested in, please continue reading!

Packaging
As packaging goes, these products are both quite different. Rimmel Stay Matte is made from cheap feeling plastic, with lid that does not tighten or screw on. The front writing rubs off extremely easily, especially when placed in a makeup case.
Maybelline Matte Maker, although is still plastic, feels like a better quality. The lid screws on, which is continent as it doesn’t fall off.

Product
Now to important part, how these products pan out.
Rimmel Stay Matte I have bought in “translucent” this is handy as it matches any skintone. It has a nice “fresh” smell to it. It claims to last 5 hours on your face, which I agree with.
Maybelline Matte Maker I bought in Natural Beige, as I like to have my powder in a slightly darker colour. This smells kind of chemically, but not so much so that its overpowering, in fact, I don’t believe you can even smell it unless you put your nose right up to it to get a good whiff, like I just did.

Rimmel, Maybelline.

Price
Rimmel Stay Matte: $12:95 AUD RRP
Maybelline Matte Maker: $11:95 AUD RRP
This is not a significant difference, and you can usually find these powders cheaper anyway.

Overall
All in all, I love both these products. I believe they do the job, and do it well. I don’t prefer one to the other, in fact: I usually use either one depending on what I’m wanting that day. For example, if I feel I need a bit extra coverage, I will use the Matte Maker.

I would definitely recommend either (or both if you want) of these products.

Hope you have a great week/afternoon/whenever I next want to put up a post (oooh cheeky)!

Products Not Worth It #2

Hello all!

Today I’m going to re-visit a past post I made and do another! It’s a “products not worth it”. To rephrase again, these are just my opinion. I realise that different people have different skin types.

Rimmel 8-in-1 BB Cream

Unfortunately, this is the first BB cream I ever used and I hated it! I understand that BB Creams are supposed to be such a light coverage, but this had none! It slipped off my face within a half hour. Another thing wrong is that there is only 3 colour types and this one was the lightest, yet was still too orangey and dark.

Face of Australia Foundation Stick

I was actually very excited to try this as I had never tried a foundation stick before. It was too bad but I never use it. The foundation, I found “caked” on. The formula was far too thick and extremely hard to apply.

Maybelline the Colossal Volume Express

This mascara is undeniably terrible. I wore it three times and every time it fell off and created dark circles underneath my eyes. I was disappointed as I do love the Maybelline mascara, I just must’ve bought a terrible one!

Maybelline Lipgloss-Iced Chocolate

To be fair, I only bought this as it was reduced to $6. I don’t know what it is but I just can’t get used to lipglosses! This colour is not flattering either, but does smell quite good.

That’s all for now, tell me if you have tried any of these products, as I’d love to know if you had any different reactions.

Ciao for now!

August Favourites

It’s the end of August! This means its favourites time!

I haven’t loved too many things new things this month, however I do have a few old favourite reappearing!

 Rimmel Stay Matte

Such an old favourite! It has reappeared in my everyday routine this month and I have totally forgotten how great it is! I will always recommend this to everyone!

Rimmel Lash Accelerator

I have a full first impression of this HERE, despite that, in the review I say how much I was put off by the short stubby brush. I would definitely take that back now. This has made it to be my all-time favourite mascara! I love how it lengthens, separates, and darken my lashes!

Elf Eyelid Primer

This product is $3 from kmart and I love the way it feels on my lids, even when I don’t have eyeshadow on! It evens out the skin and hides veins, I love it!

Chapstick-Cake Batter

Yes you heard me right, cake batter flavour! Need I say more? This stuff is amazing!

Jessup Flattop Brush

This is an ebay brand and this is my favourite brush from this collection. I use it to apply powder but will probably try it out for foundation soon. I recommend buying this entire set, just for this brush.

The Body Shop Honey Bronzer

I have really been loving bronzer this month! I am still new to it of course but this one works like a dream! In fact, I’m considering buying the shade above as well.

Well, that’s all my favourites this month! Stay tuned as I will be having a comparison of two products soon enough!
