July Favourites

This month I was quite busy, I started term 2 of Uni and went on a trip to Brisbane so I don’t have a whole heap of favourites (as I had other expenses in mind).

Despite this, here’s my July Favourites!

Jessup Brushes

I bought some of these over a year ago on eBay and since then I had heard they had released another range. I’m not sure why but it took me ages to pick these up and I don’t look back! For around $15 AUD you get a range of face and eye brushes that are super soft and don’t shed! My favourites are the powder brush and tapered blending brush. You can get them here.

ELF Fan Brush

This brush has been my go-to for apply blush this month. Blush is my nemesis, I find it super hard to apply however this makes is super easy and makes a really natural look. This brush is super cheap-only $3 from Kmart!

Maybelline Lash Sensational

This mascara is insane! Even though I’ve never used the They’re Real mascara from Benefit I think it is similar. It easy to apply and just you need to get it! It’s quite a mission to take off though but I really don’t mind.

Biore Charcoal Cleanser

This cleanser is amazing it really clears up all the dead skin and unclogs my pores well. I use this everyday now, I feel like it’s a good mix between a scrub and a facial wash.

Australis Fresh and Flawless

This powder I have had for ages but I’ve been loving it this month! It’s super affordable and smooth. They actually released some more colours so I think when this one runs out I will buy the coour under this one as it’s a little too dark.

Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencil in Fab Orange

GET THIS NOW! It will change your lipstick game! It’s a reddish orange and is so fking unique and cool! I think it’s close to the Kendall lipstick from Estee Lauder but even if it isn’t-you need it! It’s $9.95 RRP so it’s an absolute bargain!

L’Oreal True Match Concealer

Why is this in such a small tube? I will have no clue but I love how well it corrects undereye circles although I think it could work equally as well on spots however it’s slightly too light for me.

I hope you enjoyed these favourites! Xxx

NYX Glosses | REVIEW + Swatches

So sorry for being MIA for so long loves! I just felt I needed a little break and I’m not too sure why but it felt good!

Anyway, I was in Target the other day and found these NYX glosses for only $1o! That’s a bargain if I ever heard of one! They’re from a holiday collection but I still thought I’d show you some swatches!

Firstly, I hate gloss. I don’t even really like lipsticks that aren’t matte, however I thought I’d try these out-just to see if I will change my mind.

Sorry about having no makeup on! I find it easier to take off lipstick as I can rub my entire face.

These smell funny, kind of like medicine I had as a child I think. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how creamy and smooth these were! The gloss stays in place whereas others I have found will creep down my face. Although I don’t have a heap of glosses to compare them to, I think these are a great and affordable option if you want some more glosses in your collection!

The red, in particular, is gorgeous! Even if I only wear that the price would’ve been worth it.
Although I’m unsure if NYX will still have this, I believe they will have more Christmas collections out this year which will probably be of similar formula/colour.

Have a great day xxx

Collective Makeup Haul

Hello and welcome to my giant (which is hard giant at all), haul! I went to Brisbane/Sunshine Coast last week and I bought a bit of makeup. I’m super excited to try out all these things!

Anyway, onto the haul!

Mac Cosmetics

I went to Mac twice, in search of Mehr. Both stores didn’t have it unfortunately however, I’m thinking of buying it online soonish. I ended up buy Soft and Gentle (highlighter), and two lipsticks; Ruby Woo and Velvet Teddy.

Mecca

I bought the second Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette at Mecca, the first one I am addicted too so I think I will get a lot of use out of the second as well! The colours in the palette are more unique than the original one however I am excited to try them out.

Priceline

Well, it wouldn’t be a haul if I didn’t stop at Priceline. I purchased four of the Maybelline Colour Drama Lip Pencils and will hopefully have the full collection soon enough! For only $9.95 rrp, they’re perfect. I also bought a Rimmel lipstick.

Myer

Chichi Viva La Diva lipsticks are super amazing quality and as they were 25% off I chose three. The packaging is cute yet tacky but I love it so much!

Daiso

Daiso is a cute little Japanese store and almost everything is $3. I wanted to try something so I bought some face wipes and an eyelash curler. The eyelash curler isn’t very good but I have yet to try the wipes.

I may as well also include this cute pair of shoes I bought from Cotton On (however, they’re from Rubi Shoes). They were only $20 so they’re a super bargain!

Well, that’s all! See? Not such a huge haul but an exciting one.

Hope you have/had a great day xxxx

June Favourites

Hello again all you beautiful people!

I feel like I need to step up my blogging game as I hardly put out any blog posts any more. However, I have got my June favourites today!

Favourites are super easy to talk about as ya know, they’re things I love.

The Body Shop Camomile Cleanser

O.M.G. This cleanser is so amazing! You rub it all over your face filled with makeup and then wash off with a hot cloth. This takes of everything so easily and leaves your skin feeling soft. It’s so hard to take off Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products but this does! Pick this up at your nearest convenience!

Face of Australia Base Primer

This primer is creamy and moisturizing while keeping your makeup on all day. I think this may have been deleted however; I’m not 100% sure. This lasts so long and I had it for at least a year and it still has product in it.

Pawpaw Ointment

As I said in my last favourites, my lips have been super chapped and dry and this is perfect for lugging around as it comes in two sizes! The taste isn’t very good in my opinion as I’m not big on fruit. The consistency is a semi-thick which I like as well.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer

This concealer I have been wearing alone (as in no foundation), as I have been having heaps of lazy days this month. This concealer is a great alternative to foundation and does not cake in places which I have trouble with. Such a good drugstore concealer!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Flex Mascara

This mascara creates an almost false lash effect and is a really good drugstore mascara. It’s hard to find a good mascara at a chap price but I think this one is quite good.

Revlon Colourstay Brow Pencil

This is a gel product as a pencil and it so great for lazy days! My eyebrows don’t match so I kind of need brow product every day. I’m not sure but I think it may be like the Brow Wiz.

Jessup Flattop Brush

This is my favourite way of applying foundation. It comes off the brush easily so I waste hardly any product and it covers my acne well. This comes in a pack from eBay and is so worth the affordable price!

Mitchum Deodorant

This deodorant is the best one I’ve ever found! It lasts all day and what else can I say? It’s just very good!

Mac Twig Lipstick

This lipstick is quickly becoming my number one favourite lipstick! I can’t wait to collect more Mac lipstick as they last so all day which I haven’t found in any other lipsticks (and I have A LOT!).

Well there we have it, another month down! Try out some of these products please!

Kmart Haul

Hello all!

If you’re from Australia, you’ll understand Kmart and how it sucks you into every department no matter what.

I’ve never really owned a lot of Kmart clothing and until now I can’t seem to understand why. It’s super cheap so I think I thought it was bad quality: but for $7 can you really complain?

Anyway, today I spent almost $100 at Kmart so I thought I’d share what I picked up.

Bags

I bought a bag and a wallet. I love the colour of the wallet it’s almost a white/grey colour and I’ve never seen anything like it! It has a lot of space for cards and could double as a clutch. The bag was $7 and it looks alright but it was the price that made me buy it.

Beauty Items

I picked up this Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 19 as it was $5 and is a gorgeous shade! It reminds me of a Mac shade some I’m hoping I find a dupe. I also bought another hair dye as I need to redo mine.

Footwear

I have been needing some slippers as I keep stealing my sisters. These are wannabe ugg boots and they are so comfy! I also got some plain white socks to wear over the top of my everyday boots.

Clothing

This plain white shirt was only $7 and is perfect to wear oversize as a sort of sporty vibe. It’s very comfy but a little bit see through. PS: I'm not sure why this has turned on the side ?? weird

This fake jean jacket is actually “mens” but as I don’t care about that, I couldn’t resist picking this up for only $10 to wear as an overcoat.

These are black tights and yanno, are black and are tights.

I have wanted some black jeans for a while but they’re all around $50+ and are uncomfortable! I walked in and saw these and THEY ARE SO FRIGGING COMFORTABLE. They were $15 I can’t believe in honestly.

Well there we have it! That’s my Kmart haul I hope you like it x

L'Oreal True Match Foundation | REVIEW

Hello all! I have finally finished my assignments for this semester so I’m excited to produce some good blogposts! I decided to start off with a review! Hope you enjoy.

L’Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation Review

This foundation is my favourite ever! First of all, it gives an amazing coverage with is high medium. It covers acne seamlessly and is extremely blendable. The foundation comes in many shades, yet doesn’t have as many in Australia. I am in the shade either Vanilla or Rose Beige.

I have tried many foundations (all drugstore), however, this is the only foundation I’ve ever found that doesn’t have orange tones to it. I usually apply it with a Jessup Flattop Brush (from eBay) which is my favourite way of applying it.

This foundation retails for $29.95 AUD but you will often find it on sale for 30/40% off. This foundation is a drugstore foundation, however in Australia is around the same price as Benefit foundations.

Some foundations can cause pigmentation surrounding acne, however I find this one glides over them smoothly and hides them nicely. I always use a primer underneath and have most recently been using Face of Australia primers.

Overall, I have to say this foundation is definitely worth the money, and worth the try! I’m tempted to do a full makeup routine: products I use! This will definitely be in it!

See you next time xx

My Updated Room Tour

Hello all! Last year I posted a room tour. I was pretty damn proud of that room and how I had made it yet only one year later, I’ve changed it again.

It’s not a huge change I’ve made, the theme is still black and white, yet I feel my room now encompasses what I’m about. Which, is now makeup and friends (the tv show).

Without further ado, here is my updated room tour! PS: this isn’t my makeup collection as I will do that in another post.

The Room

Although my room isn’t hugely big, I like the size of it and the fact that my wardrobe is separate to my wardrobe. I have placed my bed up against the window as due to my bed having a high headboard; it cuts off half the light from the window, which I like.

The Bed

I love my leather bed frame, which I got from Harvey Norman (I think). The duvet cover is from Kmart, as are the pillows. I adore this “Reserved” pillow as it reminds me of the sign they have on Friends.

Study Area

On the wall above my desk I have a mirror which I painted, I got this from an op shop. This plain white desk isn’t a great quality but it’s perfect for just my laptop. The desk is from Kmart. I keep this white @ sign on my desk and I purchased it from Typo. The plastic organisation stacks are from Officeworks and I keep pens, USB’s, and everything else I need in there. On top of the plastic drawers I keep my two cameras, although my main one isn’t there as yanno, I’m taking the picture with it. The black notebook is also from Kmart and it’s where I keep all the secrets.

Cube Storage

I keep this 6x2 cube storage in the corner of my room and it holds my underwear, CD’s, and all sorts of other junk. I got this from Bunnings, as I did the boxes. On top of the cube I keep my stereo, which to be honest, I never use. Do people still own stereo’s? It’s not that they’re that outdated and the sound is much better than a phone yet we still use them in favour? Weird.

Wall Art

I bought this poster which is a replica of the ever so famous poster in, guess what, Friends! I bought the frame from Kmart and cut the poster to fit. I haven’t put it up yet as my family may be moving soon yet it is one of my favourite things I have ever bought ever. The poster is from eBay. I also have that set of elephants, which are my favourite animals, that my Pop made me. It’s beautiful and I can’t wait to put it up. When I got it I felt like crying, it’s perfect.

Wardrobe

As I said before, I love that my wardrobe is built in and that it doesn’t take up any more space in the room. As you can probably see, but I love organising things and all my clothes are separated within the closet, I don’t know I just love it.

Makeup Desk

Oooooooh! My favourite part! This desk has 1 drawer and is the perfect size for all my makeup. I bought the desk from Officeworks. I keep this long mirror on the wall over the top and it is the perfect size. At the end of the desk is space for my DVD’s and they fit almost perfectly. I won’t go into too much detail as I will have my makeup collection and storage post up soon-ish!

Bedside Table

This table goes perfectly with my bed and I got it from Amart. I keep this “vintage” clock from Kmart on it, as well as a coaster for my morning coffee, some deodorants and other beauty products.

Well there you have it! My updated room tour! I’m in love with this room and hope that it maybe gave you some ideas to improve your bedroom, despite this still being simple.

Have a good day/night! xxx
