Hello how is everyone?
I recently visited New Zealand,
which is actually my home country. This trip however, was much more exciting as
I was doing it alone. Okay, well not exactly alone alone, just with
parents/family. I went with my friend Eleanor, who’s from Melbourne and had
never been before.
I had so much fun showing her where
I grew up, remembering stories that I had left my mind, and driving around in
general. Since I was so young when I live there (up to the age of 12), I had
never monitored the roads we drove on. Despite this, we found our way around so
easily which I’m glad for.
I was quite nervous about
travelling, as my parents wouldn’t be there to save me from situations. I don’t
know what I was worried about, as everything went easy breezy. Not sure if this is because I’m an adult and I
didn’t know it, or because Ellie is crazy intelligent and knows how to do
basically everything (I’m not kidding you, it’s so admirable to see someone who
actually cares and is interested in things that normal, boring *ahem me* people
would usually just bypass).
Anyway, I wanted to share some
photos from my trip, in case anyone was thinking of going.
Attempting to change the settings on this new camera was complicated-this photo looks so dull but I promise it was a great day!
At Waitomo Caves which was so good!
Would recommend.
Ellie, Nan and I.
Next, we went to Auckland. I have
only been a handful of times as it’s a city and my family were never really the
city type. In fact, I had never been up the skytower until this trip!
Me and my cousins!
Ellie and stayed at this little
family holiday park in Rotorua, it was so cute and was covered in dinosaurs!
A cool geyser.
This is the moment when I was
playing around on my camera and found a date option, I thought the date would
be good to have when I viewed it as I thought it was in the description. It
wasn’t until I was going through all my photos from the trip, and discovered
the date is on all my photos as a watermark. I’m mad.
Sheep town.
These next photos are from Huka
Falls, I could show you all my photos for here and I want to, however; they all look
quite alike. This waterfall is so incredible and, if you’re heading to Taupo-is
a must see. The photos don’t do justice of how fucking insane this was to see.
We almost didn’t even see it, as we couldn’t work out how to get there. Anyway,
I could talk about Huka Falls for days, especially the conversation Ellie and I
had there, all about death and cremation and how we both had the urge to jump
off etc etc, you know, the usual.
Another waterfall, not nearly as
cool though.
This is at the Coromandel, where I’m from.
Me being oh so pretty.
Hope you liked the photos and thanks for reading! xx
