Online Purchases HAUL

Hey guys whats up? Recently I have been going CRAZY for online shopping. I don’t know why but everyday I’ve been buying things. February 2nd I decided to go on a spending ban. No makeup, little shoes/clothes. I’m writing this on the 4th and since I’m not going to have any hauls up this month, if I stick to my plan, I wanted to do an online shopping haul.

Hope you like, and wish me luck.

Beautybay.com

I had heard a few people talk about beautybay and on the first of January I went on and made my first order. It took a little over two weeks to arrive, which isn’t too bad. I purchased: Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Ebony and Beautybay concealer. They have free shipping to Australia when you spend over $19 which is pretty damn good in my opinion.

iHerb.com.au

I am a huge lover for iHerb. I think I’ve purchased from there 4 times but they are the best place to buy Real Techniques brushes and Elf products. They ship really quickly and their shipping is pretty cheap. I bought: Real Techniques Powder brush, RT sponge, Elf Blush Brush, Elf complexion brush, Elf correcting concealer, and Elf HD Undereye Setting powder.

Catchoftheday.com.au

I downloaded the catchoftheday app as I saw someone on Instagram post about and within 10 minutes I had already made my first purchase. I bought this L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Blinged & Brilliant, a L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in the shade Pearly Praline, and this Elizabeth Arden Lipstick in Autumn. I was very impressed with how fast the shipping was and I think I will definitely order from catchoftheday again!

I love online shopping and once my month is up, I will probably continue doing it a lot.

Valentine's Day Date Ideas

Awh! Sorry, it felt appropriate with Valentine’s Day approaching at rapid speed. For me, the concept of Valentine’s Day is unnecessary. You exchange gifts with someone and one person’s gift is always better, “signifying” that they love the person more. Dumb, in my eyes. I find it difficult to buy for anyone, let alone someone who I want to make happy constantly so finding a “perfect gift” is always hard.

Instead of gifts, couples should try and give a date to the other. What I mean is, on Valentine’s Day, instead of giving the other some flowers that will die, or chocolate that will be devoured, give a memory. Here are a few ideas for some extra special time you two could spend together, on Valentine’s Day, or any other for that matter.

For The Competitive Couple
Everything is a fight, its fair game and you both kind of know you boundaries and that’s what makes you so great. This V Day, how about make a triathlon! No don’t click away yet! What I mean is, you can compete in three different things! It can be anything from an eating competition, to whoever can balance the most spoons on your face. You’ll both end up laugh your heads off.

For The Outdoorsy Couple
Head to the beach! Rent a boat (or maybe a beachside cabin) and enjoy each other’s company whilst clearing your head from your stresses such as work. Getting away is a hard thing for couples to make time for when their schedules are so busy so make the effort! Buy or rent some snorkels and explore the sea, you might discover an unknown hobby while you’re at it!

For The “Once In A Lifetime” Couple
If you want to feel like you’re royalty for one night, hire an expensive car that comes with a chauffeur and drive around, sipping fine wine and laughing at things to yourselves. You could even take the extra step, and get dressed up. It’s so lovely to see someone get dressed up, just for you!

For The Indoorsy Couple
Plan a board game night! Buy a few of your fave board games and spend the night laughing at your loved one making hilarious faces during charades. It’s so refreshing to put down your social media and just enjoy each other’s company, no distractions.

For The Romantic Couple
Pack up a picnic and drive to a secluded area where you can eat, and eventually watch the stars. This is the perfect way to spend some one-on-one time with them. Stargazing is enjoyable, especially if shared with the right person!

Well, that’s my Valentine’s Day date ideas! Hope you enjoyed it, or it gave you an idea of how to spend Valentine’s Day!

Have a wonderful day xxx

Dragonberry Opaque Lipsticks | REVIEW + Swatches

Hello all! During all the crazy boxing day sales (that weren’t exactly that crazy), Dragonberry, an online boutique, were having 50% everything. This sale included their opaque lipsticks, so I went on and ordered 4 to test out and today I thought I’d share my opinion on them!

Firstly, Dragonberry is an Australian-based boutique so I received my lipsticks in a good amount of time, and was happy with the overall customer service. Dragonberry Claims that the lipsticks are creamy and opaque.

The shades I ordered were:
Velvet Crush: A bright purple shade.
Bondi Blush: A nude/light pink shade.
Queen of Hearts: A dark yet bright pink shade.
Ruby: A red similar to Ruby Woo.

Packaging:

The packaging is super adorable! The lipsticks are in bullets, similar to MAC or Limecrime. I don’t have any MAC lipsticks so I cant compare the DB ones to them, but I do have a couple of Limecrime and I have to say the Limecrime ones are much more sturdy and weighty. This is understandable as the DB Lipsticks retail for $10 whereas the Limecrime lipsticks are usually $20/$25. They were wrapped up in light pink tissue paper with a cute little sticker, which I loved.

Formulation:

I felt as though the formulation was different for every lipstick. Both Queen of hearts and Ruby were gorgeous, bright and definitely opaque shades. Whereas Bondi Blush was very cakey, straightaway.

Top: Velvet Crush, Bondi Blush. Bottom: Queen of Hearts, Ruby.

How They Applied:

Queen of Hearts applied creamy and had a dewy yet not overly shimmer look to it. This is an amazing shade. Velvet Crush didn’t show up as deep purple as I was expecting, it kind of disappointed me because of this. Bondi Blush, as said above, applied cakey but otherwise is a really lovely colour. Ruby is such a beautiful red that I believe I will use the most, as I love reds.

Overall:

All in all, these lipsticks are worth the money. I wouldn't recommend buying Bondi Blush but all the other shades had amazing creaminess and were very vibrant. I will probably make another order for some more of these colours, I would also recommend looking out for the sales as they have 50% off lipsticks quite often.

Hope I helped if you were deciding to purchase some of the Dragonberry lipsticks!

Have a good day/night! xx

Empties #1

Hello everyone! Recently, I have ben emptying so many products and finally decided that it was time for an empties post!

I have quite a lot of products to show you as I have been rounding these up for a few months. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

I go through concealers like socks. Honestly, they’re my favourite part of doing my makeup and probably the only product I can justify always buying more of (apart from lipsticks of course).

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I heard this raved about quite a bit on youtube and decided to pick it up. I went through it so quickly but as it began nearing the end of the tube, it became so orange toned. I left it for awhile bit have recently repurchased a new tube to see if it was as good as I remember. It’s still quite orange but once powdered, it fades really well into my skin.

Match Perfection Concealer

I had troubles with this concealer at first, I didn’t like the brush applicator and how quickly I felt it dried on my skin. Honestly I don’t know why but after leaving it for so long I retried it and actually fell in love. I finished it a couple of week later. I probably will repurchase this at some point.

Covergirl Concealer

I’m not going to rant about this, but this was my first concealer, I didn’t pick the right shade so I can’t do a very accurate review of it, but I wasn’t much of a fan.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer

This is definitely my favourite concealer ever. Although I hated the sponge applicator, I got used to it and the formula overruled! I love how light and creamy it is yet how high coverage it is! I have already repurchased this.

Now onto mascaras! Everyone goes through so many mascaras especially if you wear quite a lot and love change yours up!

Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara

I did like this mascara when I used it but haven’t repurchased it yet as I have been trying different ones. I think eventually I will repurchase it.

Maybelline The Falsies

I love this mascara! I have already repurchased it (the wrong one, oops) but if you are looking for a mascara that is extremely lengthening, this is the one to get!

Rimmel Wonderfull

I’ve raved about this one before and am still in love. I have repurchased it and am excited to use it again and again and again.

Rimmel 100% Waterproof Mascara

I probably wont repurchase this one as it wasn’t a huge deal in my eyes. I needed a waterproof mascara and picked this one up at a sale.

Rimmel Accelerate Mascara

This mascara is pretty good. I wouldn’t say its wow but it does a nice job of separating my lashes. I may repurchase this one day.

Now onto other catergories, this is a whole random bunch of empties.

Swisspers

These are my favourite makeup wipes ever. I haven’t tried the simple ones which I know are rave about a lot because I just keep coming back to these ones. They’re refreshing and I think I’ve been through over 3 packets of these.

Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder

I think everyone LOVES this powder and I am no exception. I think it’s lighter, yet more heavy-duty than the Maybelline Matte Maker.

Wake Me Up Foundation

I really wanted to love this foundation as so many beauty vloggers do, but I just cannot get over the shimmer. People always describe it as sheer but in my eyes it isn’t. It isn’t high coverage either, which I need with my skin.

Propoline Conditioner

Sometimes I see random products in Priceline that are reduced and I always seem to buy them, even though I probably shouldn’t. This conditioner was amazing. I love this one it did, if I remember clearly, incredible things to my hair and left it feeling so smooth.

Nivea 2 in 1 Face Wash

Eh. This one was average. I’ve now moved onto simple which I have emptied one bottle but didn’t take a picture of it). I probably wouldn’t recommend this, nor repurchase it.

Well, that’s it! Hopefully my next empties will be cut in half!

Have a great day, xx
