Why Women Shouldn't be Compared in Everyday Life

Women are often compared, not just in the media but in life.
I hate preaching about all the hardships of women, as I believe everyone has hardships-despite your gender. (Of course, race is important too-always.)

Today, I just want to talk about women, and how we’re compared to other women. I’m not sure why, but the media portrays women to be these type of people who want to be better than every other women, rather than being better than their old selves.

The Kardashians are the most famous people in the world at the moment (probably), I do love them and follow them on their social media. It’s hard to see comments on Twitter and Instagram; however, when it comes to Facebook I constantly see people commenting ‘which Kardashian is better’.

Now here’s the thing, these girls are sisters. They love and support each other and should not be in competition with each other. There is no, ‘Kourtney is the best Kardashian!’ Let’s stop doing that.

I’m a huge fan of the YouTube show; Just Between Us, they address this issue in one of their episodes.

In it they discuss how they’re a comedy duo and how they’re sick of people comparing them. They’re a team! There’s no ‘Allison’s funnier!’, ‘Gaby’s hotter’. They just are. There’s no comparison as they are partners.

All in all, what I’m trying to say is that we need to destroy the barriers that say women are enemies, lets unite and be friends!

Last year I saw this tweet, and ever since then I think about it every time I meet a new women. I’m not perfect, far from it, but I believe if we bond together one day there won’t be any “cat fights”.

Some words to think about xx
