Burgandy Smokey Eyes + Natural Face | 12 Days of Xmas

Hey guys!

I never do makeup tutorials on here as it is super hard to show how to do something through photos. So a warning that this tutorial will be justified that you already know how to blend and all.

Anyway, I have really been loving burgundy colours on the lids so I thought I’d show you a tutorial for this kind of burgundy smokey look-hope you like! PS: Sorry about the dates!

First, I moisturize. Obviously this is the most important thing to do. I use Neutrogena Water Boost and it is incredible! My fave!

Next I prime. I see such a huge difference when I prime, it’s so much easier to blend foundation. I use the Face of Australia 3 in 1 Face Base. This product is alright, good for a basic smooth look. I also used Australis Cya Later Pores, for my T Zone.

I mix my foundations as I can never find the perfect shade so I mix all my foundations with this super light Rimmel Match Perfection. I predominately used the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous as it has a natural yet flawless finish that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.

I blend this in with my Beauty Blender, this is keeping with the natural feel of the look, as a beauty blender prevents the foundation from layering on the skin.

I next concealer, I’m using two as I need to be able to cover all of my flaws. I used the Collection Lasting Perfection under my eyes and Maybelline Fit Me Concealer on spots.

I set my concealer with the translucent powder side my Sleek Concealer kit. I had never done this before and I loved it!

Gotta make me matte, I powder this holy grail everywhere, I cannot live without this product it us so good omg. BTW: It’s Rimmel Stay Matte in case you didn’t know.

I then powder a little, it’s summer here in Australia so I try hard not too over powder, I just do a little. I used Australis Fresh and Flawless.

Next I filled in my brows. As I was trying to achieve that natural/sorta look and I want the focus to be on the eyes, I used a brow pencil by Rimmel. One eyebrow looks so bad and the other needed to be longer, I should’ve use a pomade buy ya know, we’re all still learning. I also used the L’Oreal Brow Plumper to make these stay in place.

I try so hard to contour, but just lightly to make a little difference but to look as though I haven’t. I love the Sleek Contour Kit-so good!

Now: onto the eyes!

I got this palette from eBay and used a brown shade in my crease to begin with.

I then took the shade Cherry Cordial from the Too Faced Original Chocolate Bar Palette and put this all over the lid and blended the edges.

Next I used the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk to deepen the shade. I just blended this out with my finger.

I also use an ELF Blush in Mellow Mauve to blend the edges of my eyeshadow, I used this as a transition colour as it is quite purple-y.

I used the other Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and took the shade Licorice. I lightly placed this in the outer corner and blended it outwards.

I then went and highlighted my browbone and cheeks with the ELF Blush in Gotta Glow.

I’ve had this Australis liner in Morning Haze for so long yet I swear I’ve never used it. I used this on my bottom lash line and blended it out.

Finally, I did a cat eye look using the Maybelline Hypersharp Liner which is super easy to use! I can’t explain it!

I have no clue why I’ve done it in this order but I then applied blush which was the NYX blush in Pinched.

I slapped on a Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in 1995 and applied mascara (which I didn’t put on in the pictures-again!) and I was ready to rumble!

Hope you liked the look!! See you all tomorrow xx
