Acceptance and Beauty | Holidays #4

Let’s turn these holiday posts around and talk about acceptance and beauty. Of yourself. “Once you’ve accepted your flaws, no one can use them against you.” My friend told me this quote the other day, I just looked it up and it’s by George R.R. Martin (aka: the writer of Game of Thrones).

How accurate is this quote though? Once you accept that your nose is a funny shape, that you’re allergic to milk, or that you wear braces-everything becomes simpler.

Take this: I don’t believe everyone is beautiful. I do believe that “beautiful” is judged on your personality, how you treat other people and how you treat yourself. In saying that, no one can be completely and utterly “beautiful”. No one, no matter what they say, acts perfectly towards anyone. What I’m trying to say is: in reality, no one is beautiful-but, everyone has beauty within themselves. I’m not sure if I’m getting my point across very well.

MY POINT: Bust out your inner beauty and show people more of that side of you than you do of any other personality trait. Be confident within yourself, and try your hardest to make it a personality trait.

“Do you know y/n?”
“Yes ohh she’s so lovely! What a beauty!” (Say this in an Aussie accent I dare you).

Anyway, toodaloo!
