Yesterday I
was absolutely craving soup; unfortunately we didn’t have any packets mixes that
were nice so I thought I’d make my own. I’m not very good at cooking, in fact, I
am terrible so obviously I had to find a very simple recipe and hope for the
best.
I didn’t have
all the ingredients so I kind of had to chop and change. This is the result.
Ingredients:
·
1
Cup Pasta pieces
· 1 Litre Chicken Stock
· All Purpose Seasoning
· 1 Can Chickpeas
· 1 Medium Onion
· 1 Carrot
· 1 Onion Soup mix (can be any soup mix)
· Chicken Pieces
· Garlic Clove
· Salt and Pepper
· Oil
· 1 Litre Chicken Stock
· All Purpose Seasoning
· 1 Can Chickpeas
· 1 Medium Onion
· 1 Carrot
· 1 Onion Soup mix (can be any soup mix)
· Chicken Pieces
· Garlic Clove
· Salt and Pepper
· Oil
Method:
1. Chop
onion and carrot into pieces, note: they can’t be too small.
2. Heat pan with oil and fry off onion and garlic until onion is transparent.
3. Get out large pot and fill with chicken stock, I used the entire carton as I was making a lot.
4. Add in the seasoning and leave on a medium heat until steamy, continuing to stir.
5. Boil water and make onion soup as specified on directions.
6. Once the stock mixture is hot, add chickpeas, carrots, garlic and onion.
7. In another pot, bring water to boil and add pasta.
8. Cook stock until carrots are tender, I took my pot off the heat just before the carrots were tender so they had a little crunch.
9.
Add
in cooked and drained pasta, soup mix and salt and pepper.
Your soup should resemble something like this. I know that it doesn’t look good at all but it is simply scrumptious! I hope you do enjoy.
