I was inspired by ItsWayPastMyBedTime (Carrie Hope Fletcher) to write about being nice for no reason. (You can watch Carrie's video if you continue reading).
What is
with unnecessary nasty comments that are spoken? Okay sure maybe you have an
opinion about something but that doesn't give you the permission to throw it in
someone’s face. Being a pleasant person is a simple thing to do but for some
reason, there aren't enough of them. I understand that not everyone is gifted
with being an overly nice person, I myself struggle to ever be out there kind.
But I am pleasant; I shut up and don’t say anything. Nobody would say I was
mean but then again I don’t think anyone would ever really class me as “nice”. It
is tiny, snarky comments that I overhear that get to me.

Do people
require to outwardly notice a flaw in someone? Because I am sure they already
know. Does pointing out the fact that yes, I don’t have nice skin make you feel
better? IT doesn't boost your popularity and it certainly doesn't make you look
like a better person. It makes you look pathetic. And even though some others
may laugh, I’m sure they’re astonished at how inconsiderate you are.
What all
this ramble basically is: why are people mean for no reason? Next time you go
to make a snarky comment on something about someone, or you overhear one being
made, stop it before it occurs. It’s as simple as that.
