Hello
again. Sorry it has been awhile my computer was having some mishaps with open a
word document-I was extremely angry. Anyway, I have a lot of ideas for
different posts I can do and I am excited to show them to you all. This post I’m
going to tell you about my favourite books as, if you didn't know, I absolutely
love reading.
I’m going
to start with a typical one that everyone knows. The Fault In Our Stars by John
Green. This book, in my opinion, is the teensy bit overrated. I have heard a
lot of people say how absolutely incredible it is and that it’s the best book
ever. Yes, it is a great book and an easy read, but I would never call it “the
best book ever”. Don’t get me wrong, I do love it I just don’t think it lives
quite up the hype. Also, the movie is being filmed at the moment which I am
insanely excited for.
Next is The
Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. As you could’ve guessed, it’s about a
former unattractive girl who suddenly becomes desirable within the course of
one summer. This is such as simple book but I love it. It’s a series although I
have only read the first book. I would recommend this to anyone of any age as,
literally, it is a very easy read. It is a very girly book so if you don’t usually
enjoy the type you probably wouldn't like it.
Next is Nick
and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn. Obviously this
was co-written and although some co-written books turn out extremely bad this
worked really well. The entire book is based on only one night. It has already
been made into a movie and I would also recommend the movie as it is actually I
very accurate representation of the book. (also Michael Cera stars in it-need I
say more?) Yes but overall really incredible book.
I saved the
best until last. Go Ask Alice by Anonymous. This book is made up of segments of
a girls diary and shows her experiences with drugs. This book is so real and
detailed (although at sometimes not due to her being high while writing). After
reading this book I felt everything as well as nothing. It is indescribable to
say the least. This would be the book that I recommend the most as it is the
definition of incredible.
So these
are just a few of my favourite books that I felt like sharing with you. I hope
you do consider reading them, or maybe you already have.
